Most open flames would work for this, and you could use any glassware that was sturdy enough (physical and temperature, so cooking glassware) that creates a seal with the skin comfortably.
@@ysabellawilliams3905 well, I hope, now, 8 years later, you understand, that you are 1 of 8 billion, and clearly, you're never ever gonna be the only one...
it depends on your cup mark, if it is really dark red, says your body has eczema, cupping can help remove it. If your mark is just the skin color, your body is ok, cupping just for relax the musles.
I’ve had this done to me . Skin was a little irritated but I felt so calm and relaxed for like two weeks . Felt amazing . Was sleeping better more relaxed ect . The cups bring the blood to the surface then after they take em off your back they massage your and it really fill your muscles with blood and get the circulation going . Feels great
+katelynvlogger in all the ASMR videos I've seen the girls are forcing themselves to have a soothing voice, and the whispering sounds fake. The girl in this video has a natural soothing voice without trying and she is actually a professional therapist and not role playing.
My Grandma has been doing fire cupping for about 60-65 years maybe even more and I've been getting cupped for the last 33 years on what seems to be every other month. There are different methods of cupping but the only one that i have ever gotten is the fire cupping method. Whatever the case may be i love it and have always felt better after a session. People, just make sure the person who's gonna perform the session is someone who knows what their doing and your not their first client
Hamlet telma Thank you Hamlet for your opinion.Since two months I have had back lower pain and taking anti inflammatory medications, now, I am feeling much better but the pain persists, I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in L4 and L5. Do you think that this treatment can help me in a way that I can feeling free of pain and dance, biking, yoga etc. I wish to receive an advice from you. Thank you very much.
Actually no because when someone dies all of their blood goes to their feet so her skin wouldn't turn red from the treatment and her skin would be extremely pale
This works believe me I had 3 slip disc in my cervical spine after the 2 session of cupping and 1 Needle therapy I am more relaxed my muscles spasm are gone and with physiotherapy I get enough strength. Worthful enough to try.
@@LionHGH Why would you go out of your way to comment that? I hope you have a daughter someday, and you have to deal with obnoxious jackasses going out of their way to degrade her physical appearance because they have nothing better to do with their lives.
@@MrZackavelli didn't go out of my way. I was watching the video and commented like everyone else. It was fully in my way. You realize beauty is subjective right? Also go to the eye doctor.
Wow! I remember when this video only had a few thousand views a few months ago. Way to boost your views by simply adding "Michael Phelps" to the title of the video! This kinda illustrates well the power of "endorsements."
My grandma always did this to my great grandma and everytime I would be so surprised bc it looks like it hurt and since I was a child I never knew it was something entirely different. This looks very relaxing :)
There was one time during Uni that the stiff muscle knots around my two shoulders and back from all the studying were giving me extreme pain/soreness/discomfort. Then my mum pulled out her vacuum cupping set and basically did what you saw in the video but in a more intense way (imagine my whole back was blue black) using a vacuum gun sucker. The relief was pretty much instant, and the pain didn't come back for another year or two. Basically it felt almost like your entire muscle knots population were being invaded, pulled, untangled, massaged, flushed with fresh blood, toxins waste displaced - all happen at the same time. Try it yourself.
Interesting, thanks for sharing! I think I might give this a try as I was ran over and then ejected through windshield another time, rolled motorcycle, etc. Docs gave me tons of meds which I stopped several years back and now only herbals + 10's unit and home traction with physical therapy I continued on my own. Thank you again for showing this, God bless.
I unexpectedly tried this yesterday. It did hurt at first but after it didn't except the one near my neck but afterwards my neck felt and still feels so much better.
1. Cupping therapy does work, but it's only for temporary. 2. Heaps of ppl here were just showing their prejudice and arrogant against the Ancient Chinese therapy without actually try it. 3. Ppl will be obsessive with cupping once they try it, coz they will feel absolutely relieved after the therapy even if they have no muscle pain or joint pain. So many therapists keep persuading ppl to undergo the therapy regularly, and meanwhile, exaggerating the benefits. According to my personal experience regarding cupping therapy when I was in China, I d recommend if the colour of ur marks isn't very very dark u should avoid this therapy and ignore those therapists' bullshitting (I believe most 15-40 yr old ppl won't have that dark mark.) . Also, doing more exercises to build strong muscle and develop good postures of sitting, standing and walking r the two most fundemental ways that can actually help u completely get rid of the pain rather than cupping.
title change I see, to get more views because of the Olympics? I don't blame yall this video is one of the first things I thought of when I saw it on the news
It is beneficial, but not in all the ways people say it is. It is great for relieving muscle tension, and it's also good for relaxation and stress relief, but all that "toxin" talk is absolute bullshit. Luckily, this video doesn't mention toxins that much, but in basically all other fire cupping videos that's all they talk about.
+daway212 I personally find massages very relaxing, and yes they temporarily release tight muscles. I find it more beneficial for one's mental health, but as a legitimate treatment for anything, that it is not
It's actually an ancient Khemetic (later referred to as Egypt) technique that was borrowed by and integrated into Chinese culture. The earliest pictographic records shows they (Khemetians) are the inventors of this phenomenal technique, and can be found in in the Ebers Papyrus, one of the oldest medical textbooks.
Fire cupping additionally warms. warmth further invigorates blood flow and aids in pain relief. suction cupping is quite good when heat is causing the lack of movement, however often fire cupping is more effective.
I do cupping therapy and I can vouche that it can leave some pretty nasty bruises etc. You often look as if you got beat up in the days following however like stated above, if it is done properly it should NOT hurt
I just had this done. It makes sense that it extracts stagnant blood/toxins and helps to bring in fresh blood. It was interesting to see the difference between different spots. Some felt itchy and were quite red, others not much. Areas over my organs definitely seemed more toxic. Interesting, I definitely think there is something to it even if it's not very well understood or widely practiced.
this is basically an Islamic tradition and we call it Hajama. this is the best therapy cures your body inside and out. This is the treatment of many disorders like high cholestrol, blood pressure, Uric acid etc. Iam glad people are following this as it is the best treament. no surgery,no pain and no expensive medication and you feel not only relax and good but it heals you. What else do you want
Usually darker bruises from cupping means that you are very tense, so blood flow is not very well. But if its very light its either that you have good blood flow or the practice is not being done right.
Who else got this video recommenced this video because of Unus Annus, which had a video staring Ethan Nestor of crankgameplays and Mark Fishbach of Markiplier trying these same cups?
This is why we need more science in schools. The fire removing oxygen from the cup doesn't make the suction. Heating the air inside the cup then immediately placing it on the skin creates a seal to trap that hot air. When the air cools in the cup, it contracts, reducing the volume of gas creating the suction effect. Put hot water in a water bottle, then close it. The bottle will crumple as it cools.
Cupping is not Chinese particularly. It is a common and old practice in North Africa, Middle East, India and far East. The oldest civilization practicing this tradition were ancient Mesopotamians (from old Mesopotamia or today Iraq)
Jianyun Wu11 hours ago It does help. The lady in the video did not have major problem on her back that's why the bruises were light. If certain spot on the back or muscle suffered pain, after cupping, the bruise would be much darker than what we saw. It won't heal your problem, but it will help to reduce the pain dramatically for certain time period. The pain would come back eventually. That's why the clinical trials cannot prove its usefulness due mainly to follow up time might be scheduled in weeks or months. But it does help.
+Tommy Klein In the video it is clear that the therapist explains very well about the therapy, she may know a lot about this therapy, but she did not want to go deep, and to say that she is not an "expert" is because you should know more that she, tell me more about technique, "expert" on subject lmao
The lower back is more red and bruised because those have been stationary and may have formed a tighter vacuum as you can't always be sure, not because there's "more tension" there
The lady doesn't know much about physics. The flame removes some of the oxygene from the cup but that is not the reason for the vacuum. The flame heats up the gas in the cup decreasing the density of the gas. After putting the cup on the back of the patient the gas in the cup cools down. Because the volume of the cup is closed the gas cannot decrease its volume. Hence, the pressure drops = vacuum.
I was about to comment the exact same thing, citing the Ideal Gas Law PV=nRT, where P is the pressure of the gas (in Pascals), V is volume (in cubic meters), n is moles (the amount of gas in number of atoms), R is the numeric constant for that gas, and T is temperature (in Kelvins).
okay so the reason why there is a suction is not because the oxygen is removed but because the inside is heated. Warm air takes up more room (lower density) than cold air (higher density). So when you put the cup on the body while warm and then let it cool, the air inside the cup will cool as well returning to its original density by shrinking. That creates a lower pressure and the body and blood tries to fill that space by going into the cup.
FYI: This cupping therapy is a good therapy and it's true. It relaxes you and helps some pains in your body go away. In fact, my mother just gave me one just now. It is harmless and should be done carefully - people don't know how to. Ask around...
