Even thou this will work that rubber boot is to prevent dirt and contamination from mixing with your gas. I’m sure you know those jets in the carbs clogg which makes your bike bog and all that. I wouldn’t dive threw a puddle or a lot of dirt with that honestly. Your carb gon be mad dirty fam fam. If you gon rig it, rig it. Put some black electrical tape around the top of the carb and zip ties and cable. Not to stop the cable from sliding but only enough and sealed to keep the dirt out. Would look cleaner to. 💪🏽 On another note, the cable isn’t to short, all you have to do is get the cable threw the carb top, compress the spring when installing the needle assembly. Pain in the a** sometimes but I never seen someone attach the end of a throttle cable without having to compress the spring like that.
A washer would have worked good, did this to mines but, I used the old throttle cable that has that metal tubing at the end. I just screwed that metal piece that is at the end of the throttle cable and twisted the metal end of cable onto the top part of the carb. May have to install the cable onto the carb then install carb onto the motor
Don't bust out the top of carb cap, I did this but with my own twist just keep carb cap on and pull cable and the slack will help it pull up out of cap and cable there works perfect thank you brother
That gives you and air leak bro. You need that to be sealed or you will have an air leak and it will mess with the idol and tuning causing the bike to run lean

For my 2012 Apollo I got lucky n don't have that extra play in the cable, but when I replaced my shit, the throttle works amazing but when I fire er up, there's a awful clicking/ticking noise... any idea on what's the prob? I checked the spring to make sure it's fully sat on the carb lid ughh
@@Mr215Mar Yes it WAS. While I was working on it I left it in my front porch one night… Woke up & it was GONE. Preciate the comment tho man! Ngl I purchased my firearm after that, it was legit 2 steps from my door. Someone had BALLS smh, shit happens tho learned a lesson.

Amazon sell long throttle cables don’t matter which one you get. I been doing this for a minute no problems. Chinese brand horizontal engine not 2 stroke name brand engines
