This plane was not built to dominate the world market, so the statement 'no one is interested to buy' is completely tone-deaf. COMAC was established to make self-sufficiency possible in the Chinese air travel industry so that China may insulate itself when the US starts banning Western companies from servicing China's huge jetliner fleets. So in that sense, the C919 is successful now that COMAC has over 1000 aircraft in its order books as Chinese airlines start moving away from Boeing, who will no doubt screw them over at the drop of a hat when the US launches its beloved sanctions game in the airline industry. China's domestic market is large enough to sustain this move, so any international orders are considered a bonus (likely to come from other nations whose air travel industry the US wants to cripple in order to cling on to whatever that's left of its global hegemony).

There are over 7300 passenger planes in China, they have a more than sufficient market for this model domestically. As it stands they will take several years just to fill the current orders.
