As a Chinese viewer, I have to say, Stephiance really picked pretty normal stuff for Stephanie lol. They all look pretty delicious to me and I see childhood as well. However, we do NOT eat the nails on the chicken feet lmao.
You guys are so alike oh my god😂 Stephanie: *lactose intolarent* *Still eats A LOT of cheese* Stephiance *allergic to soymilk* *still proceeds to drink soymilk*
Eats Chinese all the time huh 😛😛😛😛😛. I love when he’s just like “HONEY!!” 😂 my mans was gone for hours. Seems like he just couldn’t wait for this opportunity. He will not disappoint 😂😂😂😂😂😂
whatever he’s giving you is authentic !! friend dough fritters and soy milk is the og and all the dim sum and chicken feet is literally the definition of a traditional chinese breakfast
As a Chinese, I can assure you that all the food Stephiance bought for breakfast are authentic. But I'm kinda mad that Stephanie didn't dip the You Tiao (Oil Stick) in the soy milk because this is how we eat. PS: who loves chicken feet here!✋
stephiance really pulling my inner chinese out and getting me nostalgic edit: TOMATO EGG IS THE BEST BUT NONE OF NY FRIENDS BELIEVE ME BECAUSE THEY ARENT CHINESE AND IM P I S S E D
me: *see a notification then read the title then hella fast want to watch* 😂😂😂😂😂😂 even from the title this is hella gonna be damn funny shout out the stephiance 😂🤣
as a Malaysian who has been growing up surrounded by many cultures (main ones are malay, indian and chinese), i have eaten most of the things that stephiance prepared for breakfast. and we don't only eat them for breakfast. the oil stick or what we call them as cakoi here are commonly eaten at teatime. and chicken feet is quite common too. i love chicken feet soup!
BISS, you and Stephanice make me want to go have yum cha with the fam! My favourites for yum cha are, pork siu mai, har gow (prawn dumpling), marinated ngou tou (tripe), har cheong (steamed prawn rice noodle), and those black sesame balls! OH AND MANGO PUDDING AND ICE CREAM BALLS. Also, that bread is common to cut into pieces and put it into some congee/jook (rice porridge)~ I dont mind chicken feet but not my first option, just messy and I dont eat the cartilage, char siu bao is not bad too, and the chicken sticky rice is so goood Yeah, a lot of Cantonese yum cha foods are very heavy on carbs, and are either fried or steamed hahahah Those "century" eggs are common to put in with congee/jook, cut into pieces, along with pork slices
Lol! Hot soy milk and Chinese donut was such a staple in our house hold. I don’t eat it often anymore now. Totally nostalgic 😘 have a great day, Steph!❤️❤️❤️
I love his selection, it represents very traditional yet diverse food. Also, I died when she thought it was a churro. Also, a lot of the dishes are in traditional dim sum, cool
When stephiance cooked egg tomato and mapo tofu, it reminded me of my own relationship with my Shanghainese boyfriend. I’m Vietnamese and I never had egg tomato in my life until I met him. And now I mostly cook Chinese food for him 😂
In the Philippines, we call those buns "siopao" and the yellow meat as "siomai", Idk how it's spelled in Pinyin but yeah, siopao and siomai for us ❤️ wanna try the other food tho!!! (not the chicken feet, although people here love those too)
Stephanie: Things that I do not know exist Me: I know what they are...... They taste amazing.... Also Stephanie: Tell me if this is authentic WE LOVE THIS
When I was in Shanghai, I used to have 甜豆浆(sweet soy milk) and 油条 (fried dough sticks) with 小笼包 (mini steamed soup dumplings) everyday and it was soooo good🤤🤤
The 'churro' is my favourite food from my childhood with congee for breakfast. Usually my family puts the 'churro' in the toaster oven to make it warm and crispy. I'm Chinese-Canadian and this all seems accurate except I have never had chicken feet for breakfast. LOL
In Indonesia, the "long donut with no filling" is called cakwe and I love them, they usually a little bit salty and has some umami flavour from what I've eaten
