What helped was letting the anxiety feeling rise up inside my body, let it take its time to scan around your mind etc once it realises it’s been allowed to scan (instead of fighting it off) it calmly and cooly goes away because it knows there’s no real threat. When you fight and fidget around, you get more panicky. I’m still not brave enough to flirt , still not had success in anything more past small talk and friendly chat.
