"We Are the Successors of Communism" was written by Zhou Yuhui and composed by Ji Ming. It was originally the theme song of the movie "Heroes on the Eighth Road" released in 1961. This song is high-pitched and full of revolutionary passion. In 1980, it was awarded the first prize of the national children's artistic creation. It is now the anthem of the Young Pioneers of China (中国少年先锋队).
