Chinese Porcelain: History & Culture (and helping light a 1000yr old kiln!) 

In this video Xiamen University took us to learn about Dehua porcelain, or Blanc de Chine as it's known in the west. We learn about this history of Dehua porcelain at the Dehua Porcelain museum, go to a middle school to make our own porcelain, then visit a 1000 year old "Dragon Kiln“ called Taiping Palace Kiln (太平宫窑) to witness (and participate in!) a unique lighting ceremony!
