The man speaks mandarin, russian and english. Probably even another language or two. I speak three languages as well and I can tell you it is amazing. Learn languages my friends. That way you will also learn the mentalities of the culture you are studying.

Chinese is very different to English. Yet his English is excellent. The student is studying well. Hope he stays positive and doesn't let the traumatic experience affect him too much. Condolences to the victims of course...this is rare and weird to happen in Russia at this moment in time. Something is fishy.

A massive failure by the Russian intelligence services. The Americans gave them a heads-up but they ignored it and didn't take any precautions to increase security around these venues. Also the local national guard base was just two mile south of this Crocus City Hall on the same road. So it should have taken less than 5 minutes for security/help to arrive but it took 30 minutes to an hour. Also the Crocus City Hall exits where apparently locked when they should have been open in case of fire etc. RIP to all the innocent victims.
