I once asked for egg drop soup, but if they could add some shrimp or lobster to it, and I could pay extra. They said they could not do that, but they do have seafood soup, which is similar. Argh!

People who live somewhere & make a living there gradually start to sound like the language accent. Obviously Chinese in England would sound British, like an Italian in America would soon have an American accent.
