In this video we examine the differences between the Chinese G24 vs Wilcox G24, short answer is buy a Norotos Rhino (or Rhino II) for your PVS14, if you have $6000+ for duals, yes - $480 is worth it to not drop them on the concrete at the airsoft game or the utility room in Moms house.

What's the obsession with nice packaging? I hat when companies force me to buy a fancy box that I am going to throw away. It's not like I am going to keep the mount in a separate box for the NVGs.

Yeah...not buying it. The Wilcox government contract won't allow them to sell the unit to any other entity for less than they sell it to the government. Remember the $200.00 plungers. Government contracts are famous for overpaying for standard products. Been using two of the knockoffs without fail. The first knockoffs were a work in progress. The latest generation production doesn't have the issues you described. Didn't have issues with any dovetails, some just lock up with a firmer push. I would much rather take the extra $400.00 saved and upgrade the optics to the next level like filmless.

Yeah I’m looking for something affordable that allows me to get the nods exactly where I need them on my eyes. I’ve been waiting years to find a video to go over this type of mount as I assumed that knob was a height knob which is what I needed. Decided to search today and got my answer. I’m curious as to what brand worked for you and who you ordered from.

I mean, if you’re running a cheap NVD, using a cheap or knockoff mount and potentially losing your NVD or damaging it from a drop might not be a big deal. But my thinking is someone running a $10k NVD isn’t generally going to be too trusting of anything but a legit G24.

I got the SOTAC G24 and had the same issue with it not locking the dovetail on the J-arm. I had to take a file to the latch in order to make it work but about 20min of work got it locking in solidly, although it could probably use a bit more work to make it smoother. I'd only use it for PVS14s, one forum I read had someone mounting DTNVGs and one of the arms snapped, the aluminium just isn't strong enough to properly take the weight. I ended up replacing it with a Cadex Lo Pro Mount, it's about 2/3 the price of the G24 (at least up here in Canada, the G24 is about $800CAD) but with many similar features.

But this is good... The real Wilcox has way too much play. Just file it down, but it will fit perfectly. Better than to small and wobbly...

I have the knock off G24, knock off Noise fighter J arm and pano bridge (FMA nylon J arm) G24 100$ J arm $20 Pano $20 lmao all work amazing on a 14. Some people had quality control issues but it’s prime so at some point you’ll get one that works and I got lucky on the first try so did my friend.

@@BobBob-il2ku Yes I use my set up weekly to kill rats in the chicken coop. It’s also survived several hunting trips and night shoots that had movement drills where running was involved. I’ve made no mods to any of it; I’ve seen some people say they had to Loctite theirs but I didn’t have to. Some people said that they had trouble with fitment but I think if that’s a problem just exchange it until they get it right I can’t imagine quality control is the best.

I'm running mine dual with tnvc bridge for 4 years now and it still locks up perfectly...not even a tiny slag. I replaced most of hex screws, disassembled every single part and reassemble with locktite and changed wavy washer for tilt adj to a thicker wavy washer hybrid with green oring for more positive stiffer adjustment. I redesigned and milled out my fake G24 to be able to lift up 0 -press, 30-non press and 60-press degree before fully folded. Something Wilcox should've done it in the 1st place. As far as any slag...my Rhino 2 has it. All I did was add exhaust sealer to beyonet mount, let it dry...no more slag.

I'm running a PVS69 on one of these knockoff mounts and I also have the problem of the dovetail not properly engaging. Personally I just threw two zipties around it, which works out well enough for me since I don't really need put anyhting else on that mout anyway but I reckonise that this is a very inelegant solution. For me personally I'm happy to make that concession in order to save 380 bucks but this is of course faaar from ideal

I used locktite on all the screws and the knockoff works fine for me… idgaf about drip… if shit really hits the fat geared out preppers who spent more time aquiring gucci gear and not in their personal fitness will be loot drops anyway

Your service to the government is noted but if you want to bring up cope, hows that working for you? We havent won a war since WW2, just outfitted the taliban with equipment civilians cant have and not a single enemy i can think of has ever actually hindered our citizens constitutional rights. Cope? It's better to cheap on the NVG shroud than the mount as there isn't any moving parts. I would spend my money on a good mount like the actual legit G24 and cheap on on the NVG shroud with its chinesium variant.

Check out the Argus A4. About $150 and actually seems to be better than a Wilcox.

I wonder if some of the dovetail fit issues are down to mixing and matching a legit J-arm with a knockoff G24... perhaps a knockoff J-arm is the solution.(NGL, as someone who's never going to be kicking doors and only interested in NV for night hiking etc I baulk at paying "if your life depends on it" prices.)

I just got my lg24 and my kvc bridge, both sotac. It appears that it’s too tight to lock together, need to send down on the shoe on the kvc.

I got my G24 with the wilcox arm and it has zero wobble, like, literally none, glad I didn't cheap out. Make sure you guys are getting $50 airsoft helmets with plastic shrouds with your knocker mounts 😂

WHILE THE WILCOX IS WHAT IT IS, CANT TAKE ANYTHING AWAY OTHER THAT ITS GREAT… WOULD BE CURIOUS TO SEE IF YOU HAD USED A CHINESE J ARM, WITH THE CHINESE G24 , WOULD YOU STILL HAVE THE SAME ISSUE, OF NON ENGAGEMENT…. I run a Chinese g24 and a legit wilcox J arm and there is ZERO wobble and it locks in fine. I run with it all at night (long 1-2 hour runs), less people out to kill me at night. I have a mast cell cancer and laundry fragrance from people's clothes makes me go anaphylaxis lol. Seriously stupid cancer. Anyway, I'm a fast running fool on trails and its held. We are talk 8-15 mile runs.
