Kundavai was a pure classist and elitist, its due to her Elite behaviour they had to get seperated. She was playing with young Nandini until she came to know that Nandini was an orphan from no where and seperated her from the Kingdom and Aditha Karikalan, if you had noticed Nandhini had no interest in the wealth and power when she was young, but the treatment of Kundavai and the Chozhas when she was young and the consequent events after that made her what she was , everyone cheated her.

Maniratnam created the perfect climax to the tragic love story of Aditya and Nandini... everything about this sequence was done right... the lighting, the haunting BGM of ARR, the facial expressions of both Vikram and Aishwarya. The song and the scene stays with you long after you leave the cinema.

I haven't watched the movie yet nor have I read the books, but I felt it was not an appropriate ending for a warrior like Karikalan... sure Love is considered the supreme force, but he had better things to do. Nandini deserved a better upbringing too, maybe then things would've worked out between them..

in my life I heard about so many Masterpiece. but for me this is the real Masterpiece. the acting, the eyes reading face reading, relationship between two human whol love each other. the situation of Understanding what is not said in the language of the eyes and Re-presenting it through acting.Attempts to kill loved ones in responsibility, hesitation to kill again. Understanding and fulfilling the desires of the dearest human heart. Slaughtering loved ones with one's own hands and suffering and heart bleeding during that slaughter. It is better to die at the hands of the people of hope than to die at the hands of the enemy. Everything is very perfect here. So for me this is Masterpiece, Salute ❤❤❤
