I’ve never cried for any rapper passing. If I don’t know you personally, I can’t cry for you. However, the closest that I’ve come to crying rapper wise has been for Pun, Sean Price, Black Rob, DOOM and now unfortunately Chino XL.
A former co worker of mine at my former job at an ice cream factory like 6 years ago I’d say put me on game when he introduced me to the demigods and chino xl specifically here to save you all. Ever since then I’ve been big on celph titled and of course chino. Skin is something I come from time to time when I’m on my low. I’m almost gonna be 27 so I was about 19/20 at the time and he was an older guy or what I’d consider an old head. But an old head nevertheless who enjoyed real mcs and hip hop like me. Thank you to my former co worker wherever you are and thank you Mr chino xl for your creative rhymes that to this day I’m still blown away and emulate whenever I try to freestyle in my head or pick up the pen. Hip hop doesn’t know how grieve to this and or doesn’t know your talent. To one of my top 5 favorite rapper. Thank you and goodnight
I don’t cry, not because I don’t get sad but I don’t cry. I shed a few tears when I found out about Chino passing. I discovered him back in 93 and have been a fan ever since. This news has me all kinds of fucked up Rest well Chi
Chino XL's song "It's My World" from his album I Told You So birthed the metaphor style that battle rappers use to this day. Rest in Power to Derek "The King of Ill & Rhymes & Punchlines" Barbosa. 👊🏼
this guy was a true pioneer, a trailblazer, way ahead of his time, and a true legendary figure. he's the first rapper that incorperated dissing celebrities using punchlines before there was an eminem. chino xl deserves his flowers rip king!
I didn't know DJ Polo passed. Old school legends have been dropping like flies. It's hard to keep up with. It's sad to see so many legends dying at a young age.
Every artist is a legend when they die now regardless of if they're widely known, a one hit wonder or had any lasting impact at all. Now days they'll call any artist a legend just because they died
Chino XL pioneered a lot of styles that are taken for granted today. But I agree in the social media age people use words like "legend" in a hostile defensive tone
Be forgiven of your sins, after repenting of them, and live a righteous life. As instructed by The KJV Bible, and know it's meanings. Have a childlike relationship with God. End Times are upon us. Consider pros, and cons of major decisions.
I remember when Pac dissed Chino in Hit Em Up. I still feel like crap for singing along to that line. I had no idea who he was back in the mid 90s, but by the early 00s. I had a newfound respect and admiration for Chino's pen. A truly gifted artist, taken too soon. RIP, King.
@@mrsmith1938 chino xl influenced alot of rappers. he was the first rapper I ever heard that used celebrities in his punchlines and he didnt give a f%ck who he offended dissing celebrity and other rappers which then birthed guys like eminem's style about 2 or 3 years later. chino xl was a true trailblazer.
So everybody's a legend when they die now. Anytime any artist passes away y'all call them a legend even if the were a one hit wonder or unknown. The word legend doesn't mean anything if y'all are just gonna call everyone a legend just because they passed away
