Aluminum PCBs are a thing you can get, usually used in high heat applications; if you take apart an Ikea LED bulb, it'll have one too (probably most LED bulbs, but the ones I've taken apart were ikea).
The red glue is 95% certain Kafuter K200R. Really good stuff to use to semi permanent fix connectors etc. Will peel off if persuaded so rework is possible.
Dont put the Prusa PSU in the enclosure, it's pretty much maxed-out at ambient temps. I burned up my MK3 trying to print ABS. I upgraded to a 350w Meanwell and extended the wires outside of my enclosure, it's been going great for about a year like that.
fern L because it’s just Celsius but with 273.1 added? And it’s pointless to measure temps in Kelvin unless you’re working at crazy low temps, and even then it’s the same unit as Celsius just measure from absolute zero. The only difference is where you place the zero point
Seriously tho could we get it in Reaumur and Rankine as well? I hate using my brain ... or the conversion app on my phone. Not to be "That Guy" but try to deal with the seemingly infinite different units to measure pressure/vacuum, going through 5 different reports and having to convert it all to what you want when all of them used something different. Love science ... Hate scientists.
Hey! I bought a Prusa too this month! Its absolutely amazing and I have also built an enclosure. Hope to put in the printer tomorrow. What are you doing with so many printers anyway? Will you heat the enclosure or just use passive heating from the printer?
Nice! Probably just passive heating (I hear the bed is enough heat most of the time?). So many printers: I don't know about Mike, but I've had the two prusa's running about 14 hours a day for the last two weeks making an endless collection of brackets and mounting frames for an optical bench. Might have to show a few of those things off later
Just a tip, Zyltec sells aluminum extrusion very cheap. I needed a bunch for a cnc router and 3d printer enclosure. About 200' of pre cut 2040 t-slot for $1 / ft shipped. I used aliexpress for the corner plates / brackets / hardware.
I can’t believe a company would send out a product such as this with assembly instructions which include wrap shroud with really long elastic bands. Additional really long elastic bands are available in our accessories catalogue.
When you send Longer your review of their Resin Printer, are you going to charge them extra for the Cat-Scan? (If you are, charge them double since they got 2 Cat-Scans)...
Is it bad to hope that you guys have to stay in the shop for a couple weeks because of Coronavirus. More content from you guys would be a silver lining;)
Funny story. My boss was the leader in pick and place packaging reels/tape. I make all the machines and molds one by one, then made the formed film for the chips on them. The Chinese tried to buy us and searched our garbage once.
@@PhysicsAnonymous YOU CAN STILL GET THAT OVER THERE?!?! Sold out in Europe... found a last bottle on ebay, hopefully they don't shut down the mail service before it arrives, or I won't be doing much resin printing for a while. Got plenty of toilet paper though :)
Question. Did either of you really work for NASA? I remember that being said in passing in one of the previous videos. if so, can you elaborate on that? Please! Thanks!
Maybe I'm missing something. By saying you don't need "homing switches" do mean you don't need any sort of "stop limit switch" ?? Can the machine just stop if it reaches a limit with out any physical switch? Great video by the way. I have Clear Path motors on 2 CNC routers I built. Great motors. However, I find the "tuning software" documentation some what lacking. Not easy for a non-engineer to figure out.
Correct, no switches needed of any kind. You just need a physical stop at the end of travel. The motors go into homing mode and can detect when they have run into something. The software is a bit complicated if you really get into the details, but I have found their customer support to be awesome, I would suggest calling them if you have questions.
@@PhysicsAnonymous That is great info to have. I have two CNC's that I built that are loaded up with proximity limit switches. They, limit switches, are temperamental to say the least. Getting rid of them will be a blessing. Thanks for the heads up.
5:51 Maybe turn your printer into a small pick and place!? Would be a good reason to buy a new printer anyways... Edit: and I later found out you guys just got new printers!
I know its been said below, but I'm +1 for Milly... its the natural choice. Milly Mcmillface is a close second, but this isnt a british channel sooo...
When I think of Florida there is one thing that has made an impression. CHAD. Even now you can Google "HANGING CHAD" and FLORIDA is the #1 rank return. Therefore CHAD CNC be thy name. 😊
watched the video due to the title, had to rewatch to find where the chiptray was mentioned, still looking ahhah found something interesting, the unsubscribe button.
