Atlas is 100% a no-brainer counter. I think Akai is too, to cancel out the sudden influx of enemies. Timed correctly, Melissa should also have a field day since her doll can attach to everyone with ease.

Im pretty sure the enemy you hooked should be in range of the portal for them to get in, like portal () • enemy * franco franco has to hook the enemy then flicker to get them to the portal. But franco cant get in
Before chip uses the ulti, move back a little to second turret or bushes so the enemies can't use the portal. You can join the team fight and get back to def or clear
@@botulinum7143 still, it takes chip user skill of map and status awareness. I never expect player under honor to know the signal. Also, it inefficient to walk into 2nd turret. middle bush between 3rd and 2nd was enough.
What about Johnson in he's ultimate going around the map while theirs portals on the field . I'm thinking about Yin & Harley using the portals to have easy access to kill .
He might unfortunately be very good in a 5-man team but not really in solo q. In 5 man teams are more coordinated and you can communicate with them when you want to use the ult. But solo q will just depend on luck whether teammates are aware or not.😂
@@reaperandyel Novaria, Chip, Tigreal, Arlott, and Atlas are good for 5 man because they are team reliant heroes and cannot function well in other roles on SoloQ.
yes, I do agree he will be very good in 5-man team and not in solo q because when you're in 5-man you could easily communicate like hide first in a bush before telling chip to use his ult so that enemies can't follow you.
Man I used chip in the adv server for a few matches and my stupid teammates never used the portal. There were plenty of good opportunities but they just chose killing creeps or lane minion's rather than supporting a teammate. Ik creeps and minions give a lot of gold but people must understand that if you stop early game snowballing only then you have decent chance towards a win. Chip is exactly for that but people don't make use of my portal. I'm from India and there is a saying which translates to... A beggar will still beg if you give him a bowl made up of silver. This same applies to many mlbb players.
Chip would be a initiator/AOE in my opinion (idk if its already the role) . the ability to teleport enemies and allies to one area just screams initiator for me just like mathilda. chip also has AOE attacks so it would be the perfect description for chip.

I guess they can use it if the allies are in the bushes or something. He is definitely a hero who will get picked or ban a lot during the M6 and high ranks games. I believe he will be a more strategic hero overall.

You can try tricking the enemy. In late game hide in your base, when a war breaks out use your ulti to transport them immediately to base. If the ally follows, they'd just die. So, it can be a good way for retreating. And in late game, it's also useful to transport your allies that just got revived. One of the biggest advantages that the losing team has is that when they respawn they can immediately counter back. When the winning team dies, they need to travel all the way to the opposite side. To get your teams immediately there would end games faster. Maybe try heroes with good early game skills to push and end the game early.
On another note, pretty sure Lou Yi will still have her teleport niche, Chip seems more for calling in for team fights meanwhile Lou Yi can do the same but also can use it to escape like a roach (Especially with Winter Truncheon + Teleport)

@@antiquefighter1868 while it is a false shield, it still behaves like a real one so Hanabi becomes permanently CC Immuned when attacking her Her attacks also passes thru shields so your allies cannot deal dmg to the enemy since you didn't damaged the enemy's shield (BUT they can dmg enemy if the shield is from Esme's attack)

What of the portal was summoned inside the bush will enemies still be able to see and use it? I think that's one way to use chip to the fullest, but would need the whole team's perfect coordination. Not very sure since I don't fully understand the mechanics of where the portals for his SS will appear. Maybe we can use chip as a trojan horse and roam/gank/push then use ultimate while all the other members are behind towers or in the fountain... PS Also what will happen is my teammate is using chip and then uses SS while I am dead or about to spawn? Will the portal appeas at the fountain as I spawn? Too many questions!

Split pushers are going to be a menace because of this. Mark my words. Imagine zilong split pushing and teleports to fuck up your team then goes back to fucking up your towers
His ulti is good to defense split pushing, like when some allies defend our base. Chip can just ult to counter attack and group up for war in enemy base.
QUESTION. if heros like chou, atlas, khufra, franco. Can they like cc enemy throught the portal, imo i think franco can do with hook and fliker to the portal, and chou kicking enemy inside poral is really fun.
What if you set up an ambush with Johnson and Thamuz where Chip lures the enemy to one place and Johnson slams them, then Thamuz uses his ult for burst and tick damage.
The best way to counter chips portal is ether ambush and wait for the enemy to come in or dont go in or gather and wait for enemy to go in to the portal and boom
The thing that needs to put into consideration is that enemy doesn't always around you and your friend So most of the times, it would be an unfair ganking
Theoretically it could work. The problem is Chip would need to use his ulti on an enemy that is already inside the fountain, which is basically impossible.
I think if it was a optional by button like mathilda and js would be better... imagine you are fanny or lanc doing combos and chip suddenly teleport you
