In this video will be working on a pair of Chippewa mic toe boots.
We will recraft these boots with Goodyear new storm welts, a double sole with Orange Vibram Cristy Soles and a Vibram Sierra Sole for better grip, a Swedish Bath and a full treatment with Saphir.

Will be having my Chippewas resoled soon. I love the design, but absolutely hate how quickly the tread wore away on the Christy, so this seems like a great option, but a bit cost prohibitive. Checked your site, and to have this done costs more than the boots themselves. I'd love to hear the honest feedback from the customer to see if it was in-fact worth the double sole, or just roll with the Christy again... decisions, decisions. Great work sir!

Thorogood use to use the Vibram Christy, then they came out with their own Maxwear wedge sole. I think the short life was the reason why.

Very important part of almost all of these "USA" made boots. All of these have synthetic welts and midsoles. And thorogood is selling boots that are precracked. So at this point you may as well buy factory seconds and get a full resole...
