Hi guys, In this video tutorial I will show you the basics of how to use it with your UV K5-K5 (8) K6 for adding in custom lists/repeaters plus showing how to disable the frequency restriction within the software along with a few other tips.

Very helpful is there any place on there to delete or add The channels do you want to scan doing it through the manager is a really big pain

You can manually add in channels through chirp & delete them or by using the radio you can do a vfo reset of the channels then just reupload your edited chirp list.

I don't have the setting "limits disabled for modified firmware". I have firmware egzumer v0.22 where can I find the setting?

@@tjrcuk till no selection visible. I have CHIRP version next 20240413 on Phyton 3.10.8 Eggzumer v0.22 Also not able to enter other frequencies like 27mhz in CHIRP. I can enter them manually on the Quansheng.

@@geertwanten1841 Did you remove the new version or just overwrite? you need to remove the new version first then install the older version...

Great overall, but why the American pull down? Most of us Brit’s will all want roughly same thing ( including CB bands). Thanks for this though useful info.

Hi ,so the tutorial shows you how you can put in your longitute & lattitude this will find your local repeaters which are close to you , CB bands are only from 26.965 to 27.405 MHz easier just to set a scan range up which if egzumer I have on my tutorial on using that :) but you will need a cb antenna for the 27mhz the stock antenna is not designed for 27 mhz.

Us amateurs can transmit on the 70cm band. But my quansheng can only tx on 2m. How can I fix that?

I found the menu that turned on the 440 band for TX. It was farther up the menu.

Hi, yes for ham radios 2m & 70cm which is what these radios were designed for use for you do need a license to use them tansmit TX, join my bulletin board if you want to learn more about these radios tjrcuk.serv00.net
