A safety is when a team is taken down on their own endzone. So say. The quarterback was tacked in their own td zone. Its a safety the oppositng team gets 2 points and the team who got safetyed has to kick it to them

And a gun has a mechanic called safety where you know...it dont shoot. So when he says. " you cant shoot bullets with your gun on safety" he means it to refer to the safety the team just gave up lol
