Use to visit the caves as boy in the late 50s there was nothing there, no ghosts were ever mentioned, no murders, the druids left no writings, there was a few rusty bits from the war, including a large fan to clear the the air. I was given to believe that Napoleons son lived in what is now Chislehurst Golf Club, and they were building the railways and they were building the railways and mined the chalk for the railway, and didn't want an open cast chalk pit,
I USED TO GO IN THERE IN THE EARLY 70s when they had Dr Who and the Groups in the evenings and the tunnels were more open to explore. they were the good days . its still great but the HSE has wrecked it for exploring the tunnels now ,but the gift shop is still good .
Thanks for the sub. Chislehurst caves are great and have so much history! We did not try the cafe but we must next time that we are there. Glad you enjoyed the video.
