Why didn't they use George Hearn for the Broadway version?! His voice simply denotes such emotional layers...what a shame...I've looked everywhere on the net and can't find a full version of this show that George and Chita were in...please help! I'm dating myself, but here it goes, I've seen George Hearn perform as early as Sweeney Todd, when he and Angela Lansbury toured the country...saw him in several Sondheim concerts, in La Cage (1984), Sunset Blvd and Putting It Together...he's a brilliant performer...Oh, also, Diary of Ann Frank...
I saw this production of The Visit at the Signature in Arlington twice - it was SO much better than the truncated version that made it to Broadway (and is now closing). There was no character development at all in the Broadway version - where can I get a full version of this??!!
Yes! I'm also desperately looking for a full bootleg. The broadway is interesting, but nowhere near enough. Especially when you know the original play.
