I am 68 year old and after 45 years I come back to my guitar. I try play jazz blues wich is my favorite music and your lesson are very helpfull for me. Good job Richie
I don't know how you aren't more popular, your teaching and videos are amazing. you can clearly see that you have passion for music, and it shows in you're videos. I've learned so much from you. keep up the good work!
Richie, thanks so much for your channel. As an American in New Zealand, I am well insulated from the multiple stressors at home, but I still feel the unease. I start my days with your videos before I even look at the news. We are so lucky to be playing live gigs again, and I'll bet that exposure to your energy and ideas will enhance my playing.
Excellent choice for jazz guitar newbies and lovers of bluesy music like myself! Really outstanding lesson, I like your approach. Besides, of all the people teaching this tune on RU-vid you are, to the best of my knowledge, the only one who can pronounce the words "con carne" in correct Spanish!
That voicing for C7+9 (from low to high, E, Bb, Eb, and G) can also be used as an F#13b9, where the 7th is the lowest note. Thank you, I actually found the latter use before you showed me how it is also a C7+9 with the 3rd as the lowest note.
nothing out of the ordinary...I guess just some pentatonics, arpeggios with approaches, diads, and varied rhythms...I would have to analyze it to be more explicit.
Oh no Carlos...you have committed jazz sacrilege! Please lock your doors immediately, or better yet, leave town. The Jazz Police should be on their way to ex-communicate you from the jazz community! :)
I do not agree.for me with major chords its a major blues.and you can play the minor and also the major pentatonic against it.thats the power of the blues major against minor.
