@@boost3821 my Albere and C-Efer just arrived, and I can confirm they are quite memeable as well. Although, not quite as memeable as triple trumpet trooper over here
The Chitocerium is probably just a way of describing the world of gunpla and other plamo in a cool sounding, roundabout persona-ish way... The fragments are the plamo, defragmentation is building the kits. Fragments differ per owner because we all build different or customize... It's such an anime way to say things hahaha. I love it.
Because no one mentions it here. All Chitocerium series are named after the Element of the Periodic Table and the molecule variants/ mythological material: - LXXVIII Platinum, atomic number 78, Platinum (obviously) - VI Carbonia, atomic number 6, Carbon, the red version Adamas being short of Adamantium, the strongest material in mythology, the blue version lonsdaleite being one of the crystal formation for Carbon - XXII Tanio, atomic number 22, Titanium, Alb and Atr are likely referencing the Alpha and Beta crystaline form of the metal - XCIX Albere, atomic number 99, Einsteinium, named after theoretical physicist Albert Einstein - C Efer, Atomic number 100, Fermium, named after nuclear physicist Enrico Fermi
well yeah. its HUKE. like MG said, hes the madlad behind steins gate, black rock shooter and yes, hololives vtuber takanashi kiara (she even personally talked to him on stream, and refers to HUKE as her papa. in a sense, all the chitocerium dolls are her sisters lol)
@@jetstrike28 IIRC the Chitocerium chassis is a custom version of the Machineca body used by Megami Device and the Alphamax Dark Advent, which seems to be a mega-collaboration between all the OG Shinki designers like Humida, Masaki Apsy, and HUKE, amongst others.
it's also nice to know that Goodsmile actually updates the build quality of the Chitocerium series, despite being mainly the same mold, (the newest, the Twins and their cats are currently an exception;) so if you get the latest release of the very first chitocerium (LXXVIII - Platinum) it will have a much more sturdy build compared from the same kit in it's original release date (which I did, it has some tight and lose joints that are improved when I got Carbonia Adamas..)
Yeah, the build on the re-releases are heavily improved. I got the first release of Adamas and she was loose, but also got a later release of Platinum and she was much better and without the problems of the first release. Also a nice quality of life aspect they did with Lonsdaleite is poinr out in the manual what parts to cement.
Damn, there's a whole line of these... and they're all cool! What have you done to my wallet, Mecha?? I think it's neat whenever there's a kit with unusual accessories. Don't get me wrong, I _adore_ mecha musume with swords and guns (pistols in particular), but trumpets, drums, and lanterns are all really cool and unique departures from the standard fare.
i have her "sister" lonsdalaite on the backlog. after i built platinum WAYYYY back in 2020, i had an influx of gunpla and she just got stuck between releases. i really should get her up soon. edit: funny you should mention HUKE, and i just realized the whole chitocerium line is technically kiaras sisters. lol.
Hmm, she seems to be made in a similar manner to Kotobukiya's model kits, which given the shared designer makes sense. She has the same problems as those kits (especially the chest). Not bad though, I like the window-like designs.
I absolutely LOVE the storage option and the fact she fits nice and snug in the box with all her gear. I wish all mecha / model kits in general had a storage option for all their parts like this, but I do understand it means more money 😅
Currently building a kit from GoodSmile and while I’d say it’s a bit harder to build compared to gunpla, it looks so good. Also love how some part comes molded color separated since tiny parts are a pain to work with.
goodsmile really is great when it comes to details..can't argue with that..you should also try nuke matrix's wolf and bee or e-model's atk girl line..snail shell's figure is also good but very expensive..
I really like the kind of girl model kit designs where they embrace the fact that the kits are the actual "real" objects themselves. They're not representations of humans simplified and abstracted into an artificial inanimate form like most figurines and dolls do, instead the joints are essential to their design because they are dolls. Compare stuff like the Frame Arms Girls to the 30 Minutes Sisters kits - the former are rendered in their boxarts are humans with human skin and appearance even in their anime depiction, whereas the latter are seen in the boxart as they appear in model kit form mechanical joints and all. For me, it means I can more easily accept the appearance of the models because that's how they are intended to look, and thus they're made to look as good as they can be within that design. In contrast, something like say a traditional doll or a female plamo based off a human character (e.g. Figmas or the Gundam Build Fighters/Divers girls) throws me off because they try to approximate being human, but due to the limitations of plastic model kit engineering, fail to completely do so and thus create that perceptive dissonance that makes me somehow dislike them. In essence, these types of kits embrace their artificial natures and have more in common with mecha, who are humanoid without being human, rather than traditional dolls.
To clarify for you though, the box art for FA:Girls and (more importantly) Megami Device aren't "canon". The actual lore for both series is that they ARE objects you build and battle. So they do have joints. They just like drawing straight up organic shapes on the box "because".
Hey Mecha, are you going to look at the Megami Device line again, or even the A.T.K Girl line? You'd probably like all of the modern kits more than you did Hornet waaaaaaaaaaaaay back when.
he probly not make a video on it, MechaGaikotsu is kinda anti-kotobukiya mecha girl kit, even if he does make a video on it, he will 100% shit on it regardless how good it is, saying stuff like "why get this when you can get 30min sister kit at 1/2 the price" etc. example this video you will notice he dint mention the price of this kit becos he dont want to compare it to the cheaper 30min sister, but he mention this kit is waaaayyyy better than MegDevice Solhornet which is also cheaper than this kit
Quick Question. are you planning on reviewing the new types of 30 Minute Missions Spinatio/a model kits? They look really cool and I would love to see your view on them.
Hm interesting that the head on yours articulates normally. I got the purple one and the head ball joint is insanely stiff, feels like you're going to break it to try to change the pose. I managed to loosen it so its posable, but out of the kit it was near impossible to articulate the head
it seems like my chitocerium kits r the early first release ver as they have dry transfers instead and because of how hard they r to apply on curvy surfaces they changed to water slides on the next releases
If Sei Iori, Mao Yasaka, and Allan Adams joined forces, they still can't build a shield more effective and unpenetratable than the one Cheetos Serum 6 Carbonarra Adonis uses.
Your reviews are sick man. But i cant get this out my head. Your voice does not match your hands lol if that makes sense. Lol i know it doesnt make sense but still haha
Erm... what? Most figma these days are more expensive than this. The average release price for the kit is 5800. The average release price for a Figma is an atrocious 7000 (hilarious since they used to be around 3500). They both cost more on the aftermarket since they only get one production run, but Figma tend to go up in price a bit more on the aftermarket these days.
