I had the fortune to listen to the music of Dr. Chitti Babu since my early childhood, thanks to my grandfather's collection of Vinyls & CD's. Even at that young age of 8, I was awestruck. Truly, to be able to impress both the young and older crowds with the playing of an instrument is no mean feat. I think even to this day, very few people truly comprehend the extent of the genius that this maestro possessed. He is someone who goes deep within the recess of his mind and heart, and draws out the most visceral human emotions & feelings, something which we struggle to articulate and the likes of which has been seldom seen since his untimely departure in '96. Then again, immortality is not of the person, but of the deeds and therefore the person. Dr. Chitti Babu shall remain immortal.

Thanks to Tamil TV for recording such a priceless concert by Sri Chitti Babu, a Telugu Lyre (Veena) Mastro, agian proving Music doesn't have any boundaries.
jagannathvutukuru idiot... What the fuck is Tamil TV ?? What the shit is "Telugu Lyre"? It's no where related to a lyre. In fact it's much older than lyre .... You, dumbass, may call lyre a 'Western veena'
A great artist & legend. been listening to his albums from nearly 45 years. everytime you feel blessed after listening to any of his songs. very sad he was not given yhe recognition that he richly deserved. that's our society & our country. thank you chitti babu garu for giving so much to us. my pranam to you on guru purnima
I love the veena; I've seen a lot of great vainika players video, but this woooow... his playing is totally perfect I find, the sensibility of plucking technic and gamakas are incredible.. Brillant! bewitching! Thank you! Jay Sarasvati , bless him!
Agree. The sad history of humanity is that carnival barkers, freaks, and clowns usually get the most attention, and their tendencies get propagated and imbibed. Good stuff needs a bit of work to access. Much like God. Need to work and be fortunate enough to find. Demons, on the other hand, are dime a dozen, and some even reach dizzying heights of "popularity" and "office".
