I saw Chitty the other day at the Warbirds & Wheels museum at Wanaka, New Zealand. She's on display until April 30th, lent to the museum by her owner Peter Jackson. It was amazing to see the original Pierre Picton car in the flesh. Well worth the trip.

Fantastic presentation. The music at start and through out it. I always loved this beautiful car. From the moment in the movie they opened the barn doors and rolled it outside. The music and the looks.

Dave Stover well it was made by one Tony Green, he hangs about on this video occasionally. I have no idea if he owns it or not

Marvin the Maniac yeah it was, believe it was a Borg Warner 6 speed auto but I could be chatting utter rubbish. If you look at the opening races scene, when chitty comes to a stop following the German Grand Prix her driver moves one of the levels forward, I assume that he was putting the transmission into park

It is and it isnt,its the car in the race at the start of the movie,which as been turned into a replica of the `finished` car

rockwellmediadundee this car was used in the movie it number plate was covered up and read Gen 11. The car was use as an extra use for the flying scenes and floating scenes

Scooby dobi dyl........6 cars were made for the movie.........only 1 was a full road going version ................GEN 11 numberplate was chosen for the original car as a genie is magical............GEN 11 = genie

This car was made by me ... it never appeared in any of the films and was handmade under licence from MGM. It was completed in 2003.
