This history is not accurate. The people he mentioned in the video are San Miao. Another name for San Miao is NanMan or Man (Mab, Naj Mab Miv Suab in Hmong). These people are believe to be the founder of Liangzhu Culture ( a Demonic culture). According to the Hmong genetic here in the United States and in Southeast Asia, most Hmong belong to Haplogroup O3 (grouped as O2 now) and San Miao Chiyou people belong to O1. We are not Chiyou's children because our DNA show that we belong to Huangdi instead (O3). People can say whatever they want but don't forget who gave birth to us. DNA test is the way to go when looking at history and culture.
To be honest I have never heard my parents or Hmong people outside of China talk about Chi You until 1995 when H'Mong people started going back to visited H'Mong China. But as I grow up all I hear was only myth and legend about Faaj-Tim/Huab-Tai (Yellow Emperor).
