Gotta say I've seen alot of ''Tierlists'' but your idea to combine data from good players and to stick to ONE gamemode is super impressive and made this tierlist very relevant. Good job.
Reg bow is good if the user uses it to do chip damages to multiple players quickly, giving your teammates a heath advantage in duels. Long bow I normally use for guys that are already damaged enough to be one shot with 50-70 damage, that way it reduces the number of enemies my teammates will have to duel at once
While you can gain a control advantage with bows, in team objective stalling and objective numbers are just that more important than the work of a bow. I feel like Ambusher with throwing knives still outdoes bows in being closer range and finishing duels faster, while being closer to objective most of the time. Javelins are really good and with the shield you can leave one javelin as a main weapon to get closer to objectives. Crossbowman has banner which pretty much makes up for how insignificant it feels to play the class, though when I see a Crossbowman with a banner planted in his sniping spot it's pretty much a dead player in the team.
And this is one of the many reasons this game is so great. You can have a favorite weapon that you play really well with (for me war club) that is considered to be not the best option and its still viable. So much parity across the battlefield makes this game so re-playable as you try out different weapons and play styles. I think the fact that there is no sbmm plays a large part in that because in other games its implementation pushes players towards whatever the current meta weapon/play style is. @@k1mpman Yeah, it seems to work without it because of the large number of players in team objective and stuff. The one thing I think should happen is team skill balancing. That's to say that if one team has all the level 200s and the other team only has noobs it should probably push some of those high levels to the other team to make it interesting.
And why is Sword not S. Literally hasn’t got a single flaw. It’s fast, has good damage and high range for a secondary that also happens to available on two of the best classes and is scattered around most maps in infinite supply
Most accurate list I've seen. I agree with pretty much every single one of these. One thing I would change is move the war axe up to B tier. I think it's one of the best well rounded weapons in the game for range, speed, damage, drags, duel ability. I find myself using it more often than the great sword because its slash does much more damage than the gs. And its light attacks are surprisingly fast and hit hard. Comes in clutch a lot more often than the gs in TO.
Love the morning star, its like falchon but crushes armor, still swings very fast, has a nice rushing special as well. Heavy overheads deliver solid damage as well for a one hander
I think chivalry is an amazingly balanced game. I've been able to do great with some of these low ranked weapons, and very poorly with some of the high ranked ones. I think overall, blunt weapons maybe could use a little buf, but they're so fun to use and I don't really feel handicapped using them
I've been playing a bunch since the game came out and I played Chiv 1 back in the day as well. Experimented on and off with nearly every weapon (nearly mind you). Now I don't have a tier list but I do have favorites and weapons that I usually play better with and I can attest that - Dane Axe, Greatsword, and Maul are definitely higher tiers in the game by far. Right around A/S tier. You can't go wrong with any of them. Thus this is a very solid and accurate list. Thank you for this. Good work.
I do wish you had evaluated the javelins. They can be used in melee pretty well. They're fast, have some range, and kills targets in about three pokes. Headshots from throwing them of course are devastating.
It’s bogged down by the class that uses it. Having nearly half the stamina of every other class and pitiful health is a kick in the nuts in duels and 1vX
Agreed. If you ignored weapons I think anything with a healing banner would give you the most points in TO depending on the map. And then next would be anything with a healing horn. Personally I think the best overall class in the game is vanguard raider. 2 primaries + healing horn.
I feel like I'm using the two handed spear incorrectly. Everyone says it's absolutely busted but I never manage to outcompete my polehammer when using it.
Very well put together list, you can clearly see who made knows the game well. It reflects what I also see on the battlefield again and again. The weapons in the A and S tiers just dominate the games. All in all the game does have a great selection of very viable weapons, a decent player can play well with any weapon up untill including B tier. I would love so much to see some love for the glave though... As it is, there is no reason to use it. Its like the halberd without the damage, why would you ever pick it up ? Sure you can accel and do some swing manipulations and I face guys that did it well. But they need to trick you so many times because of the poor damage, that it just does not matter in the end, when they end up getting smacked by weapons that do actual damage.
Couldn’t agree more with most of this list. I’m currently lvl 520 and I play mostly siege. I do want to mention 2 handed spear have a difficult time defending against a push of 1 v x while on defense but on offense it is easily the most survivable weapon. War axe id move up to S or high A tier since you have that increased health, war horn, and the combo speed bonus for spamming attacks and clearing rooms of low level players. Dane axe is also S tier in anything but big team because of the low health so I agree with A tier. Oh and warhammer easily S tier because of the high health, banner, and just insane damage outputs and fast hitting overheads. I’ve killed 5 people in 1 hit with that baby maul defending doors. For this list you could also include armor and abilities since healing and extra armor is essential for points and surviving archer spam in big team battles. (Crossbow got a huge nerf to damage so heavy classes are even more survivable) Since you did mention K/D is a factor for this list. Love to see all these high level NA players help make this tier list it is the best one I’ve seen yet, nice job man.
There are two players in the west coast North American servers that I see regularly top the board in team objective, riplimb and Wunshootyboi and they usually use axes.
please do a tier list with environment weapons! some maps have weapons like scythe and others, that thing had a huge arc with decent speed and dmg only 45 but you could hit so many people at once and drag all over the place
I play a lot of Guardian and the Mace is a seriously good weapon. I have some pretty great luck with it. It hits hard against footmen and knights, has a decent range and hits hard all-round. This is my personal opinion but definitely give it a try.
Yeah I'm also confused by that, he literally had the weapons on the list there. I know people find them annoying but they are weapons in the game and they should be ranked. I've seen people top the leader board with the crossbow and the javelin is an interesting close range hybrid weapon for throwing and fighting. Every tier list I see always ignores them. They are in the game. They were supposed to be ranking weapons for Team Objective, not just for best duels. Which means that these weapons deserve to be objectively ranked with the rest. Ranged weapons are a reality in Team Objective, this is an incomplete tierlist without them.
Do you like to have a game where it completely looks retarded where you manipulate attacks? Stay with Mordhau. If you want a game that actually looks like you are using weapons as they're supposed to be, Chivalry 2.
Definitely. If you're unsure, you can still refund it after 2h-3h of playtime. Just buy the game, play it for 2h and ask yourself if you still want more afterwards.

Can someone explain the "spears have good mixups" thing? I feel like whenever I fight against them they're pretty predictable to the point that I kind of assumed predictability was intended to be one of the major downsides of the spears. I mean, they can only stab and overhead so they're pretty easy to dodge around. Not to mention 9 times out of 10 they're going to stab which makes them pretty easy to counter imo.
The attacks come out pretty quick and if you win a single faint/counter faint the duel is all but won. Not to mention it just abuses alot of weapons with shorter range, where by the time you get in the 2HSpear typically has a pretty large stamina advantage, enough that even if you win the 50/50s you could easily end up disarmed because the damage is so high.
Love the list. Only thing I'd change personally . Is war club being in the mud range in B tier, really fast really long plus a damage multiplayer to armored class is great
New player playing on Xbox and I’m having alotnof fun but, man some of the weapons either feel to slow or to weak. I do like the spear waiting to unlock the rapier and glaive

@@RandomBenie In the case it you explained the number would have been 3.5 which translates to the upper half of B tier numerically. He just wasn't going to round the number up and bump them into the next tier. Which was good, because it made S tier far more exclusive.
Fun game to play and not too hard to get into. Good weapon tier list and made some changes to my knight setups after watching it. 2H weapons are overpowered and many ppl just spam heavy attacks with them. Big weapons should do big damage on distance but attacking someone who is standing next to you... :D Just take big axe, go outside and try to heavy attack tree that is half a meter from you... Not really a weapon tier list thing but fire damage is also just stupid on some places like walking past campfire, catching fire and dying from it.
I use the sledge hammer a lot, and end up always in the top 10 if not 1st score wise as well as kda wise. You need to do a lot of foot work due to its abysmal range
There is one different between the greatsword, the one handed spear and the Highlander, the greatsword and the one handed spear need skill in order to be used correctly, the Highlander doesn't
This is great, I got wrecked by a guy with a war club so many times in one day of 1v1s that I switched to that as my primary. Great to know i was getting trashed by a mediocre weapon! I feel even worse now!
I’m console for now and I live, and die by the Dane axe. Also, on console, it is literally the easiest weapon to throw and get a hit with. And you get two. What do you think I do? Throw. Hit. Whack. Tadaaaa.
I was about to disagree with Rapier being at B tier but then I realized this isn't dueling although it's still a really solid weapon with a slightly lower damage (knife deals more damage really unfair tbh) I'll give it the worst in A tier
Insanely Good or Over Powered? The main one that comes to mind is the Nooblander sword as I have seen it cleave through 4 people in one swing with the crouching spin-2-win meta. Fighting against the spear with dodge heavy stab spammer seems to have a none existent turn cap along with the Greatsword makes fighting against more than one close to impossible. As I have said since Alpha archers are still not balanced properly aka the only class with a class limit per server. But I am beating a dead horse. Overall the game is ok but far from great.

It seems the popular opinion is Two Handed Hammer is better than Heavy Mace? But How? THH has weaker Stabs than Heavy Mace. (All other attacks the same) THH all attacks are a little shorter than Heavy Mace. THH all attacks are slower than Heavy Mace (except tied for Stab windup )
Anyone else amazed by the turkey? Throw a turkey at someones head and deal 30 damage 🤔 seems kinda crazy considering... its a turkey, will have to try this for real
