@@20alphabet 1) There is nothing wrong with being gay so praying about it is pointless. 2) Praying for someone without their consent is rude. 3) ”Conversion therapy” can cause serious bodily and emotional harm which can last a lifetime. What is wrong with YOU if you don’t find that upsetting? Plus someone’s sexual orientation cannot be changed anyway so any kind of conversion therapy or prayers about it are pointless.

Rara Cat His name is Steven Hauck, and he plays a character named Pastor Crawford. I think he’s probably one of the bad guys (though in real life, of course, he’s a very nice guy), and my understanding is his role is near the beginning of the movie.

Alba Torres I wouldn’t call him old, since he’s three years younger than I am, but he is slender and has gray hair, so that’s probably him. (I still haven’t seen the movie yet, so I can’t be 100% sure.)

Smart woman. If I was an actress in any town I would carry pepper spray which is a step down from carrying my taser but it’s less conspicuous. If I had a daughter who was into acting I would sign her up for self defense classes & say sweetie, carry this with you. With anyone in power there’s a chance of abusing it.

I tried to do my own form of 'pray the gay away', which was mostly just ignoring it and telling myself that being homosexual was wrong. Thank God I finally came to accept myself, which I was only able to do after talking to God and having him tell me that he created me and loves me the way I am. I wish I had heard of that movie, it looks really good and it has a big message that should be spread across the world. ♥

@@brittny640 Pray. For so long I avoided God, I avoided talking to him, worshiping him, I just completely shut myself out from God. Then, I finally came to a point where I had to talk to him; I had to know if my family was right, or if I was. So I did; and he showed me, told me, just how much he loves me. Don't procrastinate, just pray. Talk to him, open yourself up to him and ask whatever you need to ask. He'll answer eventually.

I had the pleasure to watch this movie on the last edition of the Sao Paulo Intl. Film Festival and I just got blown away. People clapped at the end, which I haven't seen in any of the 16 other titles I've watched during the festival. People were laughing with the witty talks... I was just crying the whole time because it hit me hard.

Loved the book, loved the film, loved this interview🥰 Chloe’s performance is so stunning she holds all the emotions in her face in such an authentic way. I wish the was more time in the movie for the first part of the book. It was such a lovely hazy summer read but I can see why they had to distill the film down focus on more about what happens to Cameron when she goes to camp. I love that she’s a Dollly fan as well🙌 Dolly annually donates books to kids in Rotherham in Yorkshire which I think makes her more amazing 😄

wow this interview was amazing. I wish I could be there and interact w both of you about such issues that feel close to me too. I have 2 cousins that have been bullied for being gay, and for me as a girl, they've totally been my anchor and my ispiration while growing up so, good for Chloe for being part of this movie.

Ahh, I'm so so so glad you've done this interview! This movie needs to be known by everyone! I saw a preview a couple of weeks ago and loved it SOOO much; I'll no doubt see it again! Such a beautiful movie! (The book is incredible too and I'd highly recommend to anyone that hasn't read it). Plus Chloe never fails to amaze me. I've been a huge fan of her for years, but this is by far her best performance yet!

So excited for this film! I really liked the book. Chloe Grace Moretz has never been a favorite actress of mine but I'm opening up to her more, especially for doing this movie. Although, I don't know what her sexual orientation is, if they could have gotten a lesbian actress, that would have been even better. In any case, I'm totally seeing this in theatres and am so glad it won the main Sundance award!

When I was in the fourth grade I had a crush on a female friend of mine, and we would play house and pretend that we were married and we would kiss and stuff and then I was told one day in church that girls liking girls and boys liking boys is a sin. So for a very long time I was ashamed of myself, I completely stopped talking to the girl and I would pray to God to forgive me for sinning, it was actually kind of recent when I stopped being ashamed about it and came out as bisexual :).....(I'm fourteen now and I came out about a year ago)
