Halle and Chloe Bailey, better known as the pop duo Chloe x Halle and stars of the Freeform series "Grown-ish," talk about the show's impact at Variety's Power of Young Hollywood event. Halle also discussed the online controversy that arose after she was cast as Ariel in Disney's upcoming live-action remake of "The Little Mermaid." "I don't pay attention to the negativity. I feel like this role was something bigger than me," she said.

I honestly have no problems with changing race of an original character if it's not relevant to character's identity. The problem is that these days it's way too one-sided. If they cast a white guy in the role of a character of a different race in source material, people go insane calling it whitewashing and such. Shouldn't all races be treated equally?
