It depends if I do or don't: - If the target is far away or has a big hit box I spam explosive shot - If the target is close I put in 1 filler between each explosives shot The reason to why you sometime wants to spam your explosion shot is to get the spell on CD - Which will increase the overall amount of explosive shots you cast through out the entire fight 😁 Yes you sometimes over lap the dot, but you do more overall damage in the long term 👍

@@zinboi7123 whats a good way to gauge if you want to spam it to get it on CD like on short boss fights, or is there something more to it?

@@Jacob-ph1ve in general you always want to just spam Explosive shots, unless you are close to your target - like on Chimaeron when you have to stack. But for Nef, Allkir, Sinestra and other larger models you just spam even though you are close to them 👍 The difference between spam and fillers are very small so its not that big of a deal either way.

@@zinboi7123 Ok good to know maybe thats why my opener isn't as much as I feel it should be.

Its pretty simple my Macro for serpent sting is: @showtooltip Serpent Sting /Use Serpent Sting /petattack Just to make sure my pet attacks as soon the fight starts, also helps for faster target swapping

@@etyamor well yea its just pet minimaxing, I also made the macro for Cobra shot now - just to make sure it hits my target 🤣

My Macro is: #showtooltip Ice Trap /castsequence [@cursor] reset=3 Trap Launcher, !Ice Trap This will cast your Ice Trap where your mouse (cursor) is on the screen, remember to double click the macro since u have to use to different spells - Hope it answers your question 😁

Yea I need to use it more, just a old habit of never having had to use it before - Cata is my least played expansion (other than dragonflight)
