If your pet dies and you want another pet, is it replacing? No. If it was replacing, you should actually be saying that Vanilla was replaced. Why? The owner of this channel actually had a hamster before Vanilla named Noodle. Vanilla was not replaced, so neither is Butterscotch. Let this human live her life, and get the pets she wants. We all love hamsters and every hamster she owns should be treated the same way. Rest in peace Vanilla and Noodle.

That vanilla ham ham needs a break? Well your wrong, its because the owner of the hamster either died or something else.. thoigh i did really enjoy vanilla ham hams videos also, before vanilla the hamster existed, there was a hamster called noodle. She doed before vanilla came, but vanilla died too, and since they both died, they got a new hamster which is in this video called butterscotch, also please do not say butterscotch replaced vanilla, because if vanilla died without getting another hamster what would you expect? I discovered this channel long after the original hamster, Vanilla, passed on. I’m not sure what happened but I do hope things are well with Vanilla and Butterscotch’s owner. Sadly, Butterscotch is now deceased. I say this because of the lifespan of a Syrian hamster being only 2-3 years. That’s a huge problem with hamsters, they don’t live long enough. May they both Rest In Peace. 🐹❤️

I miss your channel and butterscotch reminds me of my hamster when he was alive😥

Hi guys! So basically, for all you asking where her and butterscotch are, I have a little theory. So my hamster (Joey) died a few years ago. He had this thing (I forget what it’s called) but it’s where hamsters get little patches of fur falling out. I think this is what butterscotch has. Because if you pause the video at 05:52 or 06:06 you can see a little patch where he has no fur. Joey died of this a few weeks after he got the patches so I think butterscotch might have too. This is just a thought of mine and I hope it’s not true. We love you butterscotch (and vanilla too of corse) 😇🤞

Butterscotch has passed away too (it would be over 3 years old now, hamsters don't live that long). It was a good hamster but nowhere near Vanilla's kindness, cleverness and talent. Basically a very difficult hamster to make good videos with. That's why there are so few videos of Butterscotch. Now he, too, has passed and I believe VanillaHamHam is reluctant to get another hamster to continue with the channel.

The hamsters are still precious after 2 years

To all the people who think she replaced Vanilla with Butterscotch and even people that think anyone getting a new hamster is replacing in general: I’ve also been told that I was “replacing” my hamsters before. This is not true, a lot of people get new hamsters to help then cope with their loss. Some people find taking a break helps, and some people find that getting another ham helps. So, when you lose something very close to your heart, sometimes you need a new hamster to help fill in that hole a little. Not to replace, but to give you a smile again. To turn that frown into a smile :) To VanillaHamHam: I really wish you would come back, Toby and Riri say hello and they want some new recipes to try! :)
