My Godfather’s Mom made this cake in 1979, he had cancer and she came to LA, to spend time with him in his last days and it was his favorite cake, he and I ate the whole cake in two days, lol he would say it didn’t matter cause soon he was going to have it and told me I can cook it for him. I miss them so much. Thank you for sharing, this brings tears to my eyes and joy to my heart ♥️, 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿

I made the cake but I followed the ingredients n put 2 cups of flour not 2 1/2. But it turned out good. It was just a little shorter but was moist n good Theresa.

I remember this cake from early 80's. My ex MIL was the first and only one I knew to make it. It was so delicious. The middle would have a bunch of the icing in it. That was my favorite part 😊

Hi Ms Theresa, I tried to make this cake and didn’t do so well. I’m definitely going to try it again, but I just need to ask one question. How much flour should we use? In the video you say 2 1/2 cups of flour, but the written recipe calls for just 2 cups of flour! I used 2 cups, but I also think I beat it too much…it came out very dense with tons of air pockets! I need help! Lol
