Tip, when you use wax paper out of the roll it has some natural curvature, you can use this to your advantage to help the butterflies' wing get their own curvature. It's hard to explain it written, just keep it in mind when you try these and you'll know what I'm talking about.
I just made these as decorations for my daughter's 18th birthday cupcakes. They came out perfectly symmetrical and absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for posting this simple, elegant idea!
You are truly gifted!!!!! These are so incredibly beautiful. I have a family reunion coming up and I was asked to bring cupcakes. I am going to make these and put them on top of the cupcakes. Thanks for the idea.
I love the way you made the buterflies. It is so clever and not difficult. I will definitely try your way of making them. Thank you very much for showing and explaining it so well. Looking forward to seeing more of your shows. :D
Hi Ann, I´m from Austria and I really love your recipes and your way to show it to us and explain it, is just great. Because of you I started to get more interested in baking and I´m looking forward to each of your videos. Last week I made the Lava Cake for my Family and it turned out really good. Thank you.
Ann, you are not a confectioner, you are an artist! I know it takes a lot of time and dedication to perfect these skills, but you without a doubt have an amazing talent and fantasy from nature! Please continue making videos! They are amazingly interesting to watch! :)
OMG, I absolutely love your videos and you make such pretty and sophisticated luxurious restaurant leveled decorations so much easier to make. I never thought that I could create something so pretty!
Ann you are awesome ! I love butterflies and will make some today to decorate my birthday cake ! That's if I can get it done today ! Lol ~~ thank you so so much !!
Wow! These actually look surprisingly simple to make and they look like they would be really complicated! Awesome - Thanks Ann! I love watching your videos :(
hi felicity yes iif using fake chocolate it can be remelted if it sets so if it starts to get too firm I put the bag in the microwave for 5 seconds, squish it around to mix and give another 5 seconds if needed.
hi julia, i have sent you a link tot he videos that explain what chocolate to use, ingredients vary around the world even with the the same brand so it is easier if you understand how to check the label... which is why I made the videos explaining it, hope that helps.
Hi Ayesha, yes I am using glad non-stick baking paper and they just slide right off. Whatever baking paper you using put some melted chocolate on it first and check that it is going to come off really easily.
I'm doing a wedding cake and I need butterflies. After calling around everywhere I couldn't find any cake picks or anything. Im soooo glad you posted this. Thank you sooo much!
You could make these a few weeks ahead and store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer Put a layer of non stick baking paper on the base of the container and store in a single layer.
Wow! How awesome are these!! I will be trying these for sure!! The first colourful butterfly you did with the yellow almost looked like a pansy flower before you added the detail 💡cool idea! 🇦🇺👍🏻👍🏻
it is two in the morning and my period is starting today so what better way to prepare than binge-watch a playlist with fifty-seven chocolate cooking tutorials on youtube?
These are Soooooo BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! As long as you Temper the real chocolate u can use either right????? Ok I'm Almost Done Watching & liking EVERY VIDEO On Your Channel LoL THANK YOU ANN!!!!!!! Your The GREATEST!!!!!!!! ♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡
hi leonie, just answered this on fb for you :D if it is too thin and runny leave it to cool a little before piping, and when you fold in half rub gently to ensure it is touching the top paper don't press and flatten completely
Hi Charu, I am using non-stick baking paper which is baking paper with a fine silicone coating, the chocolate doesn't stick to it and peels off very easily
Kid: *playing in the park and he suddenly found a butterfly* Kid:mom mom look I found a butterfly Mother : oh it's wonder- Kid: *eat a the butterfly* Mother: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Michaels is a great store, you can sometimes find them in the cake decorating isles in grocery stores (walmart or giant eagle) I also love hobby lobby they have loads of wilton products
Thank you, Ann! When I saw the picture of the video I thought - "Wow, these are so beautiful, they are probably so hard to make." But here again you proved me how easy it is to do beautiful things. So thank you for those videos. I always wait for them to be uploaded :)
hi ruchelle, the nestle melts here contain vegetable oil, but when I was in the US I looked at the packet there and they had cocoa butter in. You could try with candy melts
