I strangely enjoyed watching the liquid snow globe scene of the Titanic and the iceberg. There's a constant wonder of 'will the faux sea capsize the Titanic' but it never quite manages to.

On April 15, 1912 at 12:15 AM, the Titanic's wireless operators were instructed by the Captain to begin sending “CQD MGY” (Calling all stations, distress; MGY was the call sign of Titanic) followed by the position of the Titanic.

While CQD is often given different meanings including “Come Quick in Distress” and SOS is often referred to as “Save Our Souls” neither is true. They don’t have a meaning. Although it’s easier to remember if we add meaning to them.

I got Bunny Buccee about a week ago. The Bunny feet sold me. It's the first stuffed Buccee I've bought. I know it won't be the last. 😊 CQD means "In Distress, seeking help". It has since been replaced with SOS.

It's a big store! Take your time when you're there and be sure to check out their bathrooms, they say they are the cleanest ( they are)

Interesting bit of trivia: the exterior ship facade of the Titanic Museum is actually pretty close in size to the real ship's bow section on the bottom of the ocean, minus where the decks are bent down. Really gives a sense of how big that all is.

Those ‘Flat Top’ Grills are AWESOME. My Dad bought my Mom a ‘Blackstone’ brand one for her birthday a couple years back and we all LOVE IT. There is honestly A LOT you can do with it, WAY MORE than just standard grilled meats and veg. 😊

CQD Was the original Morse Code distress call before they adopted SOS. In 1906, delegates at the second International Radio Telegraphic Conference realized that an international signal was desperately needed, and proposed “SOS” for its ease of transmission; the pattern ”...---...” in Morse code was simple and immediately recognizable. It was officially ratified by all conference members by 1908-except for the United States, which took a bit longer to adopt the practice.

The Island at Pigeon Forge has a lot of cool shops Jenn would probably enjoy for her videos. There's a store With tons of Funco pops, a general toy store, and several collectable type shops, candy shop, lots of goodies to explore.

The original distress signal was CQD, which stood for "seeking you, distress" or "all stations, distress," according to PBS. This was widely used by the British, while Germans used SOE and the Americans used NC, which meant "call for help without delay

There is river tubing in the Smoky Mountains! Water gear is not only for hotel pools. Visit the National Park. It’s THE reason to even visit that area. The Island has a lot of nice shops, there is a toy store there. Sit in a rocking chair and watch the big water fountain that syncs to music every 15 minutes or so.

It’s so funny Jen says those snap bracelets cut her arm before. I remember them being popular in the 80s and getting taken out of stores for that exact reason. I was surprised when they started showing up again in the 2000s. I had assumed some consumer protection organization banned them or something. Ha. They do seem to have more of a coating or padding on them these days than they did in the 80s.

Looking at the snow globes, when i was working at media play and said movie was new, we had a fargo snowglobe with the wood chipper and red snow. Speaking of Titanic, i was hired the week titanic hit home video, and my manager had to take a break from creating a circular tower of titanic vhs tapes for display.

Come Quickly Distress, I had coal from the Titanic I had the Bradford Exchange Titanic plate collection I had the last copy of the first edition of the book Titanic Triumph over Tragedy by Charles Haas and John Eaton my collection was worth around $25,000 after the house fire the insurance company told me I should have had a separate policy for that stuff😢😢

I can’t wait to go to our Buccees here near Birmingham AL. I remember your last live, Jacob, I was trying to tell you that DeSoto Caverns here in Bama does have quite a large amusement park, and I do hope you get to visit it one day!
