I actually put a couple of spoons mayo in all my lemon cakes and they are always heaven! I use homemade mayo without salt, plus a sprinkle of turmeric for that deep yellow colour. I will definitely try this one, thank you, greetings from Frankfurt, Germany

Dear Stephanie...I made this chocolate mayo cake then cut the sheet cake in half; I frosted it with chocolate butter cream & my retired UPS worker/neighbor received it for Juneteenth last nite. Hi Stephanie thank you for posting! The cake look so yummy. My aunt use to make this cake in the late 70's. If I turn my cake half way through baking time, I'm afraid it will fall. I don't bake often but I'm going to try turning it half way through baking time anyway and pray all goes well. : )

Does it make any difference if you use a flavored coffee, fresh brewed, or istant?? I first had a cake made with mayo and I could not believe how super moist it was. This was MANY years ago.
