CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER PROTEIN BLENDED OVERNIGHT OATS! Follow @eatingbirdfood for more healthy recipes!
Made a fun protein-packed version of my blended overnight oats and I’m obsessed. Can’t go wrong with peanut butter and chocolate! 🥜🍫
Here’s the recipe:
½ cup old fashioned rolled oats
1 ¼ cups unsweetened almond milk
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
½ tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp chia seeds
2 tsp maple syrup
1 heaping tsp peanut butter
Dash of vanilla
Pinch of sea salt
Toppings: peanut butter and melted chocolate with coconut oil
1. Add everything except the toppings into your blender and blend until smooth.
2. Pour into a jar/bowl and place in the fridge overnight. If you’re in a rush you can shorten the soak time to 2-4 hours.
3. The next morning (or when ready to eat) top with favorite toppings and enjoy. I did a drizzle of peanut butter and melted chocolate chips with a bit of coconut oil for a magic shell effect.
Make sure you give this recipe a save! 🙌

@akashgupta716 Год назад
Macros for the same are 555 calories 55g carbs 37g protein 22g fat Note- this are the macros without the toppings if you add them than it’s going to touch around 800 calories which is good for bulking but not at all suggested if you are on a cut.

These toppings alone are not 250. As someone that counts their calories daily I know what 250 cals looks like. That’s about 10g natural peanut butter and no more than 10g chocolate and maybe 3g coconut oil. Assuming your base calories are correct, with the toppings is + about 140 calories.

@@EatingBirdFood What does blending it do to the GI of the oats? In theory larger surface area digests faster, so blending would increase the GI, making the oats less healthy. Compared to simple buttered bread (GI 70, sourdough buttered GI 35) is it faster or slower digesting do you think?

@@mrbanana6464 I think you might have realised I already knew the answer. Yes, blending does affect GI as it speeds up digestion.... of anything. Oranges blended into juice have a higher GI than as a solid Orange. A tortilla wrap baked into a crisp and eaten crunchy digests faster than one left soft..... that raises its GI. The fact you don't know this is a little worrying....
