Man, I'm on a spiritual awakening journey for 3 years. Very (x10) intense experience. I often meditate on trancy electronic music, and omg this one always hits me so hard. Leads me to some of unknown space of universe where I'm surely looking for my origins. The last time I felft I was going so far (in me, but that looks like so far out) that I was afraid to totally let go, I was kinda afraid that I could'nt come back to the normal 3d body state. One day I'll surrender, but man, what a trip this song is ......
No better track has ever been created imo. It is literally perfect, perfect, and perfect. This track summarizes everything we love about this amazing music.
@@jackclancy3508 call it what you want who cares? Fucking top music by any name. Acid house techno ambient it's all there. It should play at the end of a film about the acid house / techno era
Music is a great time machine... Takes me back in time and for a second or so I am able to feel exactly the way I felt when listening to this when I was 15...Feelings were then strong, sharp, fresh, ecstatic. Life was a discovery and I loved it, though it was difficult sometimes. But also felt like something good is going to happen, something nice is waiting for me out there, something unknown but great... Now it feels more like opposite:-(
Sandra Strzelczyk Naaa Honey,.. its only the beginning ....for we will be eating and drinking the sweet Nectar From The GODS...... Yes the GODS .......only the beginning my sweet child....so embrace life ....for it will come swiftly and out of the blue ...and we will continue....and we will be;.......
Jesus. Stop worring about classifying it. It was made a time when thankfully we didn't have all the unhelpful pigeonholes we have now. EDM is a phrase generally associated with a dreadful scene in the US, but if muppets are being exposed to great music, then all the better.
ahhhhh this track is SOOOOO GOOOOOD. it speaks to my soul in ways i cant even describe. puts me right into a trance, no matter where i am. i want a friend to listen to this with......heck id love a friend who even knew what this was;(
this track could be played at a funeral, wedding or birth of a child.. it embodies so much .. perhaps even the circle of life or universe, very intense and deep
Damn right!!! Any one who loves Laurent Garnier should always remember Shazz, and Ludovic Navarre AKA Saint Germain. And any one who likes this french techno sound must praise FNAC musics dance division, as it was so instrumental in helping release so many amazing pieces of techno art. Tracks like The Exodus by Lunatic Asylum and this song (Acid Eiffel) really changed my life. Thank you french artists! p.s. FNAC later changed to f-communications and continued to release techno art.
first time I ever heard acid house, I was listening to Josh winks acid classics mixmag set, and the last 18 minutes of the set was UR final frontier and then acid eiffel. needless to say, I was converted to acid after that. couldn't believe the imagery I was creating to these tracks, dream like stuff, i could die listening to this
IMO this is one of the best tracks from Garnier's Laboratoire Mix, an album I've been listening to on and off for 15 years probably, always come back to it, so soothing and nostalgic for me, it's the sound of my youth and I think its a masterpiece.
Yes, but what can you do when the government takes all control over our lives. Don't do this, don't do that. Do this, eat that, fuck me, die here, listen to him, drink tea, go to sleep early etc etc etc.
Laurent Garnier is a GENIUS! When you think of the albums he has made and the impact he has had touring the globe with his unique and open approach to music, the man is something else. This track will never age!
Imagine the kind of genius level that produced this masterpiece ! Since it was released it’s still my favourit track EVER ! I have it on vynil, CD, MP3. Insane track
Absolutely one of the most magestical tunes and absolutely timeless, but to say the best Acid tune ever is a big call. Saying that I'm writing this and keep turning the volume op and it keeps getting better. I do think its the best that MR Garnier ever produced though.
i dont really know parties where stuff like this is played. and sorry, new music is shit. at least all current techno is. we plan to do our own party/event with this kind of music next summer, but that is the only way to go. there are some regular oldschool events in some few clubs in switzerland in spain, that's it
Definitely! Fucking everywhere. There's always been good and shit music whatever the period. Just these nostalgic goons dont know where to look anymore
6 years old I was reading the newspapers in the 90s, wanting to go to the downtown raves in Orlando, Zen…Aahz…Breakbeasts…Florida Breaks…etc…and all I could do was imagine what the rave experience must have been like during the afterparties of the early 90s… fast forward to a few years back…some people say that Maceo Plex “Solar Detroit” was a rip of this track, and I think that while the 303 acid bassline groove pattern is similar, both pieces are great works and tell story each their own, Garnier was a big influence to Estornel, and it’s nice to hear samples of newer DJs in the next phases of electro, sort of as maybe a dedication to a nice auditory memory of dancing and the freedom it brought, nothing wrong with that, and nothing wrong with tasteful forms of sampling or leitmotifs, i’m still noticing new sounds about Acid Eiffel as well when I return to take a more conscious listen…after about 5:45 in, you hear a female voice almost reminiscent of Orbital Halcyon…not something I can pick up on unless I’m wearing decent headphones, as I didn’t before today….toward the 7:00 minute mark, it’s easier to hear what I want to say are dolphin sonar communications, sounds like some kind of moogy, bassy, brooding aquatic transmissions, what instrument is that? What are those slow rolling overtones? That’s when you feel hooked on this track and the atmosphere it brings…. the last time I mixed it in a set I started to reverberate those effects and make them boomier with a few subtle delays, when it gets to that point, It’s almost like I don’t want the track to end…but then I fade it into “Solar Detroit” and it’s almost seamless in the way the textures marry one another...and while Maceo may have brought me back to this track, but it was my friend Mark Hunt who brought me here initially, via DJ Sasha’s Zen Afterparty, and thankfully the 6 hour Labor Day ’96 set, is still online… soundcloud.com/grade-e/dj-sasha-live-the-zen it comes in just after 22 minutes…we all miss the 90s, maybe some of it we don’t miss so much, but if it wasn’t Global Communication, it was F Communication, and I’m thankful for the aesthetically pleasing electronic music Garnier brought to the table, suffice to say Acid Eiffel is one of the best Acid Tracks in my opinion from early 90s rave period. I wasn’t even old enough to drink, but tracks like this that made their way to me via an older cousin’s mixtape, helped me to pretend.
Still an amazing track so many years after his was released.. A chef d'oeuvre électro ! Thanxxx Sir Garnier, you indeed put soul in this, and i can feel it... mhhh, so yummy
When techno music is like a love poem, i grown up with this record and when i was in Berlin into Panorama Bar some years ago and Laurent made the closure till 11 am was like a dream into my life
I once went to an acid rave at this guys house, it was his 70 birthday, he took more e, coke, acid and ket than any of us, and we all partied till early afternoon the next day. NEVER STOP PARTYING
Whining because you missed out on the old days? The insane parties? The music? The scene? Well it's not going to sort itself out if we all just sit here moaning about it. We are the young people, were are the creators of our own lives, and it's our job to ensure that future generations will look back on these times with the same sense of reverence that we hold when looking upon the generations before us.
Yes, we can still have the music. And no, we can´t party the way we did 20 years ago because we have grown into responsibilities, have jobs, children, insurances to pay and a fucking lot of LESS TIME. Don´t you? Didn´t growing up bring along some changes in your life? If I went partying like I did, let´s say a full weekend including afterhour in some club I wouldn´t be fit for work on monday. Would you? And yes, I miss some drugs, too, sometimes. Don´t you?
@badboyrhythmdub :@badboyrhythmdub : lol I know what you mean but there were so few people I wanted to see and the ones that I did didn't collide. 808 State - amazing, Leftfield - superb and Laurent Garnier. Also caught Liquid Liquid which were a gem. Actually the first festival where I just picked some acts and actually stuck to it. Anything else was a bonus, such as Donal Dineen. :) Great Festival!

If go on an allnighter, it has to be on a holiday or weekend. I need a day to fix myself and on Monday I'm ready for work, and I don't take anything harder than mdma. I don't have kids though, maybe that's why I can still aford to go. But some of my married friends leave the kids with the grandparents an extend the weekend to go on a festival. Maybe you should try that?
27 dislikes...are you frigging kidding me.. my pal is a dj/producer, and i have met laurent a good few times, and he is a good guy, first stood in the dj box at my home,my church, my holy grail, the hacienda in my hometown manchester, that was probs 1994..im so old..but yet so cool.. fucking epic piece of techno...
you need to go to east europe....at illegal sublime rave parties...and you find this and loads of other stuff...otherwise, if you're too far, take a few subs take your car, couple of friends and do it on your own! that's wot we do here...but czech republic is only 8 hours car from me...hehehe
