i agree with you and your friends. oru taking the middle stance is what i would do. tell them that what they did was wrong and would advise them on what to do next. aana, it is up to them to listen to me or not, so if they keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again, i wouldn't sit here and tolerate it... cutting off ties with them would be the right thing to do. if they come back after realizing what they did, and actually took accountability and the responsibility to correct it, well and good! but it'd be up to me, at that point and time, to take them back or not. and if they don't realize what they did... well, i tried, at least. it'll be heartbreaking to know that someone i know and thought is a (morally) good person is doing something which doesn't sit right with me. would talk more on it, aana vera ena solla nu therila ipodhaiku oh also, as a usual podcast listener, watching the yt video was a nice change! loved it (:

'Veridical Mindfulness' is my title suggestion for these deep conversations! The entire video emphasizes a true practice of mindfulness rooted in authenticity and sincerity. I believe that practicing moral courage is quite challenging, as it involves the risk of straining relationships when we confront others.

Interesting topic of discussion that got me thinking. I would like to share 2 of my life experiences here. 1. Once my friend did something which he shouldn’t do and I as a friend, jumped in and criticised his action. I didn’t even had a chat to understand from his point of view. But guess what, after sometime I did the same mistake as he did. Though I have shared this, but till to date, I can never come out of my guilt. 2. I have a close friend where both of us have been through good and bad times together in our 20s. But things slowly changed when we hit our 30s. I was able to tolerate whatever he did in our 20s but could no longer stand when he didn’t change a bit in his 30s and now in 40s. According to him, he is just being himself, bt for the rest of us his behaviour is really annoying. We tried talking to him many many times, bt nothing changed. So I moved away from the friendship. I still do care for him as a friend bt we cant seems to hold any conversation more than 5 mins. My take :- Taking the mid point is definitely the best approach, bt often we tend to swing to either side of the extremes without maintaining the mid point. Thanks for rekindling my thoughts, may be moving forward, I will try to be more reasonable when it comes to taking my stand.

Hey Kishen Bro ✨ I couldn't listen to your podcasts for last few months as I was preparing for my exams and today is the exam day and when I was revising for my exam, I felt exhausted and I came here to watch this video♥️ I don't know 🤷‍♀ how this video is related to my exam...but I could say one thing, After watching the video for 9 minutes straight I feel relaxed and I'm going to resume my revision. Thank you for the vibe you have transformed into me🌝♥️✨

A fourth perspective and my humble opinion: First and foremost, it all depends on how close the person is to me. If its first circle friends and family, I'd go with the first option ( talk with them, try to understand what happened and indulge in a conversation and exchange my views and thoughts about the incident and give them a chance). At the same time, I think its important for me to have an open mind to listen and correct myself if my judgement about the incident was wrong. Although we all are adults, every person looks at tge world differently and its important to understand and accept other people's views and opinions too! I'm with you when you said its a very grey area. So, i think it should be an open ended conversation for both the parties! For all others who are not too close, I wont talk to them about the incident/mistake thats bothering me, instead i would distance myself a little. If the behaviour continues, I think its best for me to cut the relationship. PS. Sorry if my views are different from yours! Correct me if im wrong :)

There is no right and wrong here. Totally agree with what you say. Our equation with the person matters a lot in this case!
