@@johnrowley310 The kind of work we “get” to do is joyful and rewarding, like learning and serving, and the actual work is what everyone has to do, like in a profession and keeping up a home, and taking care of ourselves and others who we are responsible for. Other kinds of work for one or more people may be considered service, and there is joy in that, plus any kind of hard work is a blessing, not a doom. I have found much reward in a hard day’s labor…that is truly happiness to me!! At the end of the day, you feel really good for having done so much…but that only happens once in a while, at least for me. We do not have to do hard physical labor to survive in these days. But we can be consistent. As a senior, I cannot do as much hard labor as I used to be able to do, and some others have a gift of energy, which not everyone seems to have to the same degree. I have not had that in my life. Instead, some of my work is to deal with health problems. But we are all given gifts to use in our lives, and I find it very rewarding to develop and use those gifts. You really need to know the gospel, and what is required to gain eternal life. What do you think it is??

I was able to get my mother sealed to my Dad before she passed 2 years ago. Plus, get me and my brother, who passed sealed 17 years ago, sealed to them. My Dad passed 5 years before my Mom. Plus, two of my 5 children have come back to the church. My two younger son's.

The biblical canon is closed. Joseph smith is a false prophet who fails God’s prophet test in Deuteronomy 13:1-5, 18:20-22. Jesus says there want be marriage in heaven. Matthew 22:29-30.

It is sad to me to read so many comments about the teaching of this religion which is contrary to everything in the Bible. It is false teaching to think that all of their members will one day become gods themselves just like the real God. They do not believe Jesus is God which is contrary to the very words of Jesus.

I am 64 years old, and this talk had great relevance to my life also! I feel inspired to go forth with these truths in my heart and to seek God‘s will for the rest of my life. He said that education is a religious responsibility. There are some things I’ve been wanting to learn and go to school for, and this helped me realize that I can still do it, and that it’s not too late! These principles of labeling are pure wisdom if we understand we are children of our living Heavenly Father. With this truth, we must learn that our Covenants and discipleship are the basis of eternal Life and growth throughout the eternities.
Yes you are absolutely right about labels. I have heard this labeling Non-Stop from people I know and I see it as a way to brainwash you are this or that, it is disgusting how this labeling is basically sticking to you like glue if you believe these things. The medical field has stuck labels on everyone for a long time , and I say you're not going to stick a label on me . I have said too many of my friends and I ask them questions about the labels they stick on their self. I told them you are nothing like that so don't believe it. These are imprints that are sticking to our brains of negativity. We have the word of God when our prophets speaks, we must listen and let these words stick in our brains which are uplifting. We must stay close and listen to every word of the prophet seer and translator to help translate the modern language and know the difference between fiction and truth that is needed most!

President Nelson, thank you so much for these words I so badly needed today! When I am down, if I read the scriptures or a conference talk, or one of your talks, I feel that Heavenly Father is speaking directly to me an addressing my specific concerns. I'm so grateful.
I encourage all to read Hebrews 7. Jesus is the great high priest for all who receive life eternal with God by faith in the promise of God. He was appointed by God to intercede for all who have trusted His promise.
To live with God, first you must know the true biblical God, Jesus the NON- created God of the bible. I do not believe there is eternal salvation unless your beliefs are of the God of the bible, since it is His Word. Isaiah 45:18, I am the Lord, and there is no other, 22. For I am God, and there no other. Isaiah, 43:12, Says the LORD, that I am God. Isaiah 44:6, I am the First and the Last, besides Me there is NO other. This is our glorious Savior, God almighty.
We are not the church of a book anyways. We are not the church of the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine & Covenants or the Pearl of Great Price. We are based on Jesus Christ and his Prophets and Apostles and those he has set apart and ordained as his spokespersons on earth. Whether the Lord speaks or the ones he has ordained and sent it is the same. All are filled with revelations from God but dead Prophets can’t clarify what they wrote and their words are constantly being misinterpreted one way or another. They did say that the ancient Church would apostatize but in the last days would be restored. That has taken place and by their fruits ye shall know them! It’s called the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and it has true authority.
