Chomsky and The Tarot. Noam Chomsky is a Professor of Linguistics, etc., and he says that our ability to learn language is built-in like the body just knows how to grow. He also points out that we are creative in our use of language and that much of what we say has never been said before, even though that may seem unrealistic. With this in mind, interpreting a card is not so much about remembering meanings, but more a creative act in which we can discover as yet unspoken truths. We try this out with a Celtic Cross. We talk about the first five cards, and I leave you with homework, if you wish: to figure out the rest of the story before we examine it in the next video.
