@@KhanhHa-my7ve I didn’t know that. I used to watch Return of Superman all the time. She was one of my favorite babies. I just figured that she was going to an English academy. Thanks for the update.😀
@@kemigisalindalillian117 I think her dad has said she isn’t really that fluent anymore in Korean and that’s why they’re doing this show, let’s not forget the father also wasn’t that fluent in Korean before he started doing the Superman show, so clearly the 2 main languages at home are Japanese and English
My ex does this. She's Korean American. She does know Korean but not fluently. Her parents speaks to her in Korean and she replies to them in English. Her parents does pull out English phrases sometimes but not often.
@@yolandapaulino5952 her dad was always fluent in Korean, it was her mom that didn’t know Korean very well during Superman era. She still seems to understand and is able to speak Korean pretty well during interviews and stuff but because they live in Hawaii, Sarang probably feels better speaking English since it’s a language she hears and speaks a lot with her classmates.
I can’t believe how much she’s grown. It feels as if she was just a baby a few years ago😢. She’s grown so much and speaks English well. I look forward to see you grow up more sarang❤️
If you guys can't speak in many languages please do not misunderstand with Sarang. She can speaks Japanese, English and Korean. She lost her Korean skills but it doesn't mean she's a spoiled kid, her parents are talk in Japanese and English (Her dad is Korean but he growth in Japan, he told on this show that his Korean skill isn't great enough) Sarang also told on this show because her friends are not Korean and she wants to talk in Korean more.
Yea I think a lot of people forget that her dad himself wasn’t fluent when he first started doing the Superman show with her, even his own parents seem to lean more on Japanese. The fact that he became this good later in life is amazing and for Sarang it’s perfectly normal when you speak multiple languages to still be more comfortable in one over the other, since she lives in Hawaii she probably feels comfortable with that one and then Japanese at home with her parents
Yhup. My family is multilingual and it's normal to switch through multiple languages in a conversation or even reply to one language in another there's nothing wrong with it
Watching Sarang recently made me a little sad 😂 when I was her age I was just like her. I guess it’s all a part of puberty and growing up but… I regret not showing my parents more love through my teen years. Sarang… Please give your parents more attention now, you’ll feel guilty about it later 😂
Ngl I did this when I was 9 years old and my dad yelled at me for 20 minutes straight. Ever since then, I only smile in pictures out of fear. And when I thought I didn’t smile enough, I started imagining my dad screaming with that demonic face. I’m so relieved to see Sarang’s dad just chuckling when she did that.
oh..oh my god...its been a while since i saw TROS and sarang in it, the pure happiness when i watched her and her family esp when with her mom 😂 getting old here :')
I don't understand why you call a kid spoiled brat just because she speaks in english. I'm thinking that most of you guys are monolingual, so maybe it's hard for you to understand someone with the same background as Sarang. Also, given the fact that she has a Japanese Mother and a Korean Father could somehow make it a little more complex to understand compared to most people. A lot of times it is easier to communicate with a language that you're the most comfortable with to express your thoughts. I think as long as she and her father can communicate well and as long as she can communicate and understand the other casts, then everything is good. Y'all are in no place to judge her like that. Imagine if someone does it to you as well, bet it's not going to feel good. "Not everything you see is everything."
Also let’s not forget, her Korean father was raised in Japan and has said in the past Sarang is better at Korean then him. That fact that she is even as good as she is, is amazing
@@yolandapaulino5952 Yeah I think that although she is raised outside of Korea, the fact that she can understand what they meant and can reply in context is already good enough.
@@aykakatibli7249 I understand what you mean. Some people could find someone's tone disrespecting or not polite when other don't. I think that's how an individual's perspective come into play as well as their culture or how the people around them react to them. However, some people here in the comments judged her more than that, which is not very nice at all.
@YK&DK Educational Art Well, people who don't speak their minority heritage language well typically also outmarry outside their ethnicity. If you care about your heritage ethnicity and culture you would not only speak the language fluently but also marry within your ethnicity. Mixed people just speak English and eventually forget about all their other minority cultures.
Im half Korean and I speak English to my mom. She never forced me to speak Korean so its become comfortable to reply in english and she doesnt mind. My other half Korean and full Korean friends are same. If Sarang's parents dont care, why do others? If they wanted her to speak Korean, they would have enforced it when she was younger but they obviously let her choose
I mean if you dont enforce it at home you wont be able to speak it and youll feel less a part of that heritage culture. Im bilingual and pretty fluent in my heritage language because when I started replying in English my parents told me to speak the heritage language at home because that was who we are and part of our ethnicity/culture. I dont think that was the right decision of your parents.
Omg!! She has grown so much now!! I can't believe that much time has passed when I used to watch her in The Return of Superman.. She was still little back then.. Times goes by so fast for older people like me I guess!! 😅😅😅
most of the kids who were big eater when little becomes picky when they grow up most of my nieces and nephews are like that too when they were baby up to 4 years old they eat anything but when they turn 5 they become picky
That's interesting to know. Meanwhile I'm quite an opposite. I'm very picky as a child, so much that I'm underweight, I would vomit if I didn't like the food and my parents have to try a lot of methods to encourage me to eat. Now I'm not as picky although still can't eat some certain food but I always try to give it a try
Omg isn't her the little girl that jumped on GDragon😂???..girl that scene is always in my mind😂..actually that entire episode was priceless😂..unbelievable she grows up, gosh I'm realizing it that it's been a while since then😯.. I didn't know her family moved away from SKorea😯, they did well tho life in SK is so hard..they look happy kudos to them👏🥰
If u remember or have watched return of superman, she is the soccer player daughter. I forgot the dad's name but the girl's name is jaessi. She is the sister of daebak aka sian and the two twinsies. If u remember jaesi from the show, she is one half of the older twins. The other twin is a tennis player and jaesi is now a model.
@@aehleepark689 the one in the interview is Yoon Hoo and the one sitting in front of sarang is Lee Junsoo and they are from the show "Dad! Where Are We Going?". It is an other variety show with celebrities and their kids.
Shes living in hawai so what do ypu expect her language should be😂😂😂 both parents are bilingual so expect her also. 😂shes not brat or what ever. She can choose what language she will use if shes comfortable using it. Doesnt matter both her parent dont mind about it because its advantage for her to learn not just one skill but more. 😂😂😂
Do they still live in Hawaii? I mean sarang family? People here comments are so mean calling her spoiled brat. Why because she's speakinh english? Omg if she still lives in Hawaii that would be understandable.
why does youtube keep recommending me superman related videos now... even this different show but still !! I can't just ignore it !! especially it's on viu =( means I don't need to worry about subtitles!!!
