Honestly and truly.! I love the complete change Alanda has made in terms of horror. I remember her saying “y’all this was not really a genre I dabbled in” to “SEVER THE HAND!”
Fun fact: Megan Fox was actually dragging around a Bulgarian stunt man throughout those scenes, not a dummy! When you see her straining from dragging him, she’s actually struggling in real time. It makes it feel a lot more realistic!
If memes could describe a movie, it would be Lady Gaga's " I don't believe in the glorification of murder, but I do believe in the empowerment of women."
I loved the concept/plot of this movie.. and Ms. Fox is quite effective as the lead. This movie proves that she can act, that she needed to go the indie route in order to get a meaty role such as this. She's working with the director of this movie currently.. where she's going to be the antagonist.
Your ‘look what the money made you do’ rant just had me howling with laughter 😂 I love how you’ve gone from not being able to be watch horror without getting scared to shouting mutilate him and getting mad at characters 😂
I found this movie to be absolutely wild when I watched it for the first time. Not just because the performances were amazing, but because I LOVE the actor that plays the terrible husband. He played a knight named Gwaine in the old BBC show Merlin and he was my favorite character on the whole show. Gwaine is kinda sleazy and a player, but he’s so kind and adorable. Seeing him in this kinda role threw me for a loop but that makes sense. His character is supposed to be deceptive and skilled at keeping up appearances despite being a total scumbag. it worked really well tbh
This was a great comeback for Megan what a crazy ride this movie is. I hope eventually you do Midsommar if your ready for it not as scaring as Hereditary but still pretty disturbing lol 😅😊
Out of all the Megan Fox movies I've watched where it's just her no other famous people in the movie this is one of her best out of place movies I've ever seen her play in she did a phenomenal job in this movie❤
I’ve literally been binge watching your reactions for the last week and I can’t get enough. I love seeing a newfound horror fan. I’m 34 and have been watching these movies since I was 7 and even you have given me a new appreciation for some of the ones I’ve seen countless times. I would love to see you take it back to what is arguably the beginning of the modern horror film and react to the original Psycho. That would be a blast. Also, the perfect follow-up to that would be Psycho II, which is a fantastic sequel and stars Meg Tilly. I know you’re a big Jennifer Tilly fan and her sister is a great actress in her own right. Looking forward to more of your stuff!
You're amazing. Love how you state how the obvious thing needs to be done. Seriously, you rule. You brought up Panic Room, but I usually watch this alongside Gerald's Game. It makes for a great double feature.
Your commentary made this great. I don't think I could've watched it on my own bc she was so frustrating for not breaking his hand immediately The Nudy quote is so real 😂 love you girl!
Just gonna say I don't think our girl Megan is keeping all her toes after that day! 😂 Since we're doing indies, I'm suggesting No Exit again. It's on Hulu, so to be fair I'm guessing it's indie! Bonus story of my first time doing jury duty: I was 19 and the case was of a man who burned down his store for insurance money. He could only speak Spanish, and his interpreter was this TINY woman, like 4'11" 90lbs. We found him guilty, and he puts his head down on the table for about 5 seconds. Then he jumps up, throws the interpreter who flies into the wall, and makes a run for it. Suddenly 4 bailiffs I hadn't seen previously come out and tackles him. It was wild!
YESSSSS I’m so glad you reacted to this😭😭😭this movie is honestly kinda good. you and my other queen ZZAVID had me cryingggg with y’all reactions per usual. love ya Alanda
This was honestly such a surprise. I thought at the bare minimum it would be something to pass the time but found myself way more invested in it than I intended lolol :)
I was amazed by this movie and ENJOYED your reaction! Thank you for bringing it (as you always do)! Side note I hope your jury duty is not too traumatizing (mine was a murder trial - I def had some PTSD after that so take some time if needed!) And please don't forget you still have to react to The Long Kiss Goodnight!! I'm still waiting!! :)
Probably gonna edit this more (almost DEFINITELY, as I'm only at the intro), but I just HAD to mention how Alanda's outfits AAAAALLLLLLWAYS be *OUT* 👏🏾 *FIT* 👏🏾 *ING* !!!! *CONSISTENTLY* SERVING LE👀WKS!!!! The only weekday on her calendar is *SLAYturday* and I love that for my sis!!!! Here come the expected edit: Alanda constantly begging her to mutilate the hand/arm was also me during the movie. Her expecting the husband to be the killer she was running from was so funny (as I'd already seen this movie) because I knew who would actually be the main antagonist. And *OVERALL* Megan Fox *KILLED* this role, because it allowed her to showcase her *GENUINE* talent as an actress, while starring in the roles of a woman who was only considered "eye candy" [as this movie portrayed her overcoming the sex symbol status kcommodified by her Michael Bay roles and the demeaning, sexually-objectifying marketing of the *severely underrated* Jennifer's Body)]. She showed her thriller/horror/dramatic/comedic chops in this film, and I CAN'T WAIT to see her in more projects where directors, producers, and casting directors see her as MORE than a sex symbol. *YES* ! She is *undeniably* GORGEOUS! But, she is also talented and passionate about her craft. I've been watching her from the Mary Kate and Ashley movies to Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, and she deserves the same respect as ANY actor/actress, BECAUSE YOU CAN TELL she's doing what she's *meant* to do. She just so HAPPENS to be *undeniably* gorgeous at the same time. #JusticeForMeganFox!!! Because Hollywood did her SUPER dirty!
Midsommar is the one movie I’ve been waiting the longest for you to react to and I cannot wait. I can’t overstate the impact it had on me. Even though I’ve been a horror fan for over 30 years, it still destroyed me.
It's the way Megan Fox says, "...lipstick & glitter out of your FUCKING SHIRTS" that gets me every time. You feel it! She's a great actor & I'm glad more people are getting to see that now LOVE the lewk 🤩 & thoroughly enjoyed the commentary as always! Agreed, nothing can top the Amanda Seyfried kiss lol
uggh ikr 😩watched dis last yr n i was SCREAMING at duh screen lol megan issa badass n never fails ta insert dat real energy into ha on-screen character(s)‼️🫶🏼
I'm so happy you watched this one, I don't think a lot of people even knew about it when it came out and I'm glad it'll get more exposure now through you. Another indie I think you would like: Sound of Violence. It also flew under the radar when it came out (same year as this one actually), it's a REALLY unique kind of slasher and it stars Jasmin Savoy Brown from Scream!
Girl I was yelling mutilate his hand the whole movie!! She had so many opporutnities!! The gun, the vase, evey mirror and window in the house, the car door, the basement railing. That hand would have come tf off!
I'm halfway through the reaction and have decided to stop so I can go watch this film without spoiling any twists in the end. I never would have watched this if it wasn't for you. I SHALL RETURN!
I've wondered for a minute if Alanda's ready for Gerald's Game and honey we got the Great Value action movie version first! I do believe GG hits harder and sticks with you, but this was definitely more "fun horror" in the quips and capers!
Yesss! I super enjoyed this when I watched it a few months ago! It's so thrilling. I watched it just for Megan, but was psyched that it had Eoin Macken as the husband. He was so scary in this when I'm used to him being a ray of sunshine as my fave Gwaine in BBC Merlin lol
Seeing your reaction to the handcuffs I would love to see you watch Gerald's game its actually an insane movie!! But loved this reaction as per usual, when its Alanda watching there truly could never be enough. Would 10/10 want you by my side during a crisis
What a treat to have you back even tho your schedule is so hectic. I'm sure we can all relate, which makes it an even better treat 💛 You have got to react to '30 days of night' an underrated gem that I've not seen anyone react to. Nothing weird or deep just good old horror
I love your hair ❤ I've been watching your reactions for a while now and when I'm alone, you make me feel like I'm chatting w a best friend -so thank you, ❤
You have no reason to apologize. You are busy and we want you to take care of yourself. Don't get me wrong, I always eargerly look forward to seeing your content. You are doing us a service by giving us wonderful, entertaining content. ❤
When I saw you were gonna watch this movie I decided to watch it and the way you guessed so many things that would happen had me hollering! You are so witty and funny.
The movie was great! Notice how there was still so many Utensils the afternoon they arrived at the cabin but he removed it all over night ? That’s DEDICATION! same with the way the candles didn’t burn out by themselves but were blown out by him, which is why they weren’t fully burned down, did you also notice how he gave her this tiny sheet for the night ? He wasn’t letting her have ANYTHING. Lol And to of him putting on the cuffs, perhaps he put some pills in the wine he gave right before the deed
The company that produced this film I worked with on a film that never got done but is now going into production again called Mama Black Widow which is a crazy true story.
Actually stopped your video a couple of minutes in to watch the movie and come back. This was a good movie, thank you for your commentary! You put humor into the horror. 😂
Love this movie. Another really good movie that takes place in one location with only 2 actors is a little film called Devil's Pond. I believe it's independent (not 100% sure though), and it stars Tara Reid and Kip Pardue. It's a thrilling movie about a doomed couple on their honeymoon, and it is a good time.
You have to be jury? Girl, you NEED, you NEEEEED to watch 12 Angry Men (1957). It is an old movie BUT it's a crazy movie about 12 jurors. It's very, very good. It also features the same actor that played the detective on The Exorcist.
you're so beautiful every video, you make me so happy seeing your bright sunny smile!! thanks for posting all these reactions, it's fun getting to see your reactions you are so funny. whenever i need a laugh or a pick me up i tune in, the bride of chucky one makes me giggle every time. i hope that with all the things going on for you at this time you still find time to relax and enjoy! i appreciate your presence.
Giiiiiirl, I have never seen this movie so this was perfect to see it with you (because the way my schedule is set up I don’t think I’d get to it myself. 😂) Also, I was literally recording something and the power went out so I said to myself…You know what, let’s watch ALANDA because these Construction ppl been pissing me off hitting power lines and you always make me smile! ❤ Thanks for the laughs, Boo 😂😊
I only watched this because it was your latest reaction vid and I was pleasantly surprised by this one, was really good. And your reaction was on point as always 😁
I get it, the movie has to have dominos fall into place. But in some of the earliest scenes at the house there were literally multiple things she could use to remove his hand. From the glass table, the glass vase on the the glass table, the ceramic lamps by the nightstands, and maybe even more.
I’m a month post- my renny show and I wish I could go to another one so BAD like ugh queen will always reign supreme❤️🔥 you look so preeetttyyy & considering I just stumbled upon you a couple weeks ago I am still binging your old videos. I hope things do get less heroic for you soon💖💖💖 You’re the best, so glad I found your channel like I’m so obsessed with you😭
