#wearit. When I retired and got my fishing kayak, I promised my wife that I would always wear it and I am proud to say that I always have. I flipped my old yak and I don't think I would have been able to get back in if I was not wearing my PFD. Great video. I'm looking forward to the full review of the Kinetic.
Another great video. Had a fantastic time last month on that night fishing trip with you on Guntersville. Keep up the great work you're doing! #Wear it.
#wearit Great video! I don't get on the water without a PFD. Those are some great options, I'm looking forward to hearing more about the one you have in development!
I always get on the water telling myself i cant swim. And i have had 2 hesrt attacks. 100% gonna wear mine. But yes i can swim. But never know when your unable to swim.
#wearit I was just fishing a lake with lots of trees and branches just barely under the surface. While standing and fishing I hit one and it knocked my kayak a bit. I was nimble and was able to sit down but I could have easily been out of the boat. If I had hit my head or landed on a branch hurting myself badly then not having my PFD on would meant death. WEAR YOUR PFD! Thanks Chad! #wearit
It makes "no sense" to forego "common sense" and not wear a PFD when fishing out of a kayak. Things can happen in a blink of the eye and then it's too late. Keep stressing how important it is to wear and maybe one day Chad there won't be lives lost due to lack of information regarding the real danger of not wearing a PFD. #Wearit.
I'm new to kayak fishing but I been around boats all my life and like you said things happen on the water that can put you in the water before you even know what happened i been there and a PFD is the one thing i use every time I'm on my boat my kayak or even when i go wade out to cast when surf fishing I'm 60 years old now and 290LB not in the best shape and i want to go back home when my trip is over so i take safety to heart
Eyeing my first kayak and have been making a list of things to get and this was one I wasn't sure the direction I wanted to go. Thanks for the info! #wearit.
Good video Chad! I have an older Cabelas anglers PFD. It's bulky, zipper, buckles and hot. My excuse wearing it is it has 2 pockets. Hold my keys , whistle, knife, clippers ,and my Rogue phone tether. I wanted to replace it but i have to replace my top water setup rod that I just dumped in the water! ( Abu Garica Orra 7:1/ Abu Garica Veritas 6'6" MH fast)
I cannot stress enough how drastic the difference is between a cheap, afterthought PFD and a quality one is. And once you customize and add a bit of flare ohhh boy it’s gonna change your life ❤❤
I’d love to see a review on the BlueStorm PFDs, I’ve been looking at their inflatable models as my NRS Chinook is a little bulky for me and with the heat/humidity here in SWFL it’s unpleasant to wear in summer months.
#werait Thanks Joe. What great information for everyone bust especially for those like me who’s a beginner. So glad you chose to do this video regarding PFDs. Thank you for your service. It’s greatly appreciated. July 4th, 2024.
Great video! As a professional rescuer and avid angler I could not agree more that people need to wear their PFDs because you never know what is going to happen. #wearit
Kayak fishing PFD’s do not make you face upwards if you are unconscious. A true PFD would do that. I have used a NRS Chinook for 11 years. The new mustang inflatables ROCK. But they only have 15 pounds of buoyancy. In high waves you will not stay afloat. I have a Bluestorm inflatable, it is HUGE when inflated. When you wear an inflatable you cannot get back in your kayak in deep water without deflating your PFD. the new Mustang is so low profile you likely can. (my wife’s pfd and she will not let me try) I encourage everyone to dump in deep water and try to reboard your kayak every time you make a modification or add a new toy #WearIt
#wearit Awesome video! If a person doesn’t want to wear a pfd for themselves, they should wear it for their loved ones. Not only were your videos instrumental in getting me into kayak bass fishing, but also into buying a quality pfd and WEARING it. Lord forbid something happen to me on the water and I die, but at least I know they will be able to more easily find my body floating because of my pfd. #wearit #nodiversneeded #hopefloats
Well Austin needs an auto/ manual inflate one then because if he hit his head and was knocked out you can’t pull a rope. Also #wearit because it only takes a second for everything to go sideways on you.
Last year I flipped my pontoon on the River I’m thank full I had my pfd on. & this year I rolled my kayak I am thank full I had my pfd on this time. Thanks bro for one fisherman to another. 👍
#wearit. I just started kayak fishing again after about 20 years off the water. Love it. I never get the boat wet that I don’t have on my PFD. We had a drowning death this past weekend at our local lake. Grim and vivid reminder that no one is bulletproof. Thanks for the video and love your channel.
#wearit New to kayak fishing and also have a friend that is getting into it. I did get the NRS Chinook, so I'm pleased that you mentioned it, but my friend hasn't made a decision. I will certainly pass this video on to him.
