"You don't realize how much you lean on discs until you don't have them" Great point from Brad, playing with a limited bag, or a bag of not your absolute favorites can really help identify part of your game that you have been avoiding or struggling with since you don't have your crutches to rely on bailing you out of this or that shot.
Agreed. I realize my limits time and time again doing fieldwork with a bunch of discs but non from my actual bag 9/10 times. (Having a hard time finding time to play on the course.)
When I die... When I die I wish I can play on courses like this in weather like that with friends like those - being from a small country w almost zero DG is tuff and watching this was angelic to me. Just 3 friends in the summer sun throwing discs talking shop and just enjoying time sliding I swear this is as close to heaven as it can get because this is pure medicine for my soul and brain! You are my go-to for tips and support Robbie but this was like meditation I will save this one and watch it over and over in december !!! If I was to pick one of these bags, Jasons is a clear winner in my eyes. Just 2 discs in Brads bag I'd take over Jasons discs (if going disc vs disc in order listed above).
Big tip: Force yourself to play with certain discs by limiting your bag or adding something new. You learn more about different discs and shots that way
I never get mad anymore playing bad. My uncle, who plays normal golf really well, played with Arnold Palmer once. My uncled hit a bad shot and got mad. Arnold said "son, you're not good enough to be mad over that shot". Ever since I heard that, I never get super mad about bad disc golf. I'm not even close to a touring professional and can't compare myself to one. Love the game and have fun.
This is an awesome convept i love it. But what if these guys got the opportunity to at least throw them in a field a couple times each so they can kind of see whats it feels like. So when they go through gaps or between trees. They can know what to expect. Also think both should pick there bags and then the 3rd guy pick the course. They really drafted this bag based off a course they expected and it didnt work out that way. Or maybe even try drafting bags knowing the course. But with discs they never used, but got to throw each disc three times in a field. And go play random spot. Maybe mixture of trees and open if its there. My suggestion. Love this show. Love robbie c disc golf. And foundation disc golf got it all! I so badly want to be on this show. Really like to k ow what you do with rhbh lhfh player. I got good spread. They just all roll one way :(
At the end of the day, par is good golf. Not thee win, but a win. Props to Jason for being in the zone. Love days when the shots align and you score better than you buds!
this was a REALLY fun video. and that first shot from Jason with the Origin was so satisfying to watch. my Origin and midnight prowl are my favorite discs in my bag, so there's just something super satisfying about watching that flight.
The normal Active not the Active soft lightweight. They all come in about 165-172g. Never seen a black one but same same. Great putter and for throwing, a bit sharp on the bottom of the rim when new in my memory though, didn't like putting my finger 1 joint in from the top below it. :P
@@Iliyena87 I have a yellow Sensei forget the formula but it's a go to putter and not sharp at all in any manner it must be the Active soft? I forget.. - almost gummy tacky - versatile disc the black sounds different that's why I ask and they don't seem so happy with it.
They are used to throwing the Sensei in Active Premium Glow as a throwing putter probably, thats great and very much stable! The yellow you have is the Active Soft one, probably 145-155g and very nice to toss around, it can get heavy damage hitting the wrong stone, but there are several barely used to try to buy from other former beginners. ;) I threw it about 200' stright when I hardly could get anything past 200' ^_^
