Tbh I hate hot dropping. Could be a skill issue, but in ranked I contest one team at any poi, and one team only. Get that off drop kp and then strictly play zone until endgame. Take the final 2 or 3 fights and consistently gain great placement points, and consistent kp to go along with it. Hot dropping in ranked is max risk reward, and in solo queue the scales tilt heavily towards risk.

you’re not wrong about banners + placement breaking ranked but if you really play as far as possible from your team and just rat you’re really the problem. if you’re good enough you should be able to climb, simple as that

What I see the new format as complexity the opposite and is way more competitive focus people Can eat as much as they want they ain’t getting anything from it it’s not ruining the game just themself.

yeah but there’s an obvious divide. if you’re a caustic, wattson, rampart team you will be able to hold a building and nobody will be able to push you. if you’re a pathfinder, octane, wraith team you will need to play the roof of the building and play way more aggressively. legend selection changes the game style inherently if you’re using your kit right

when my teams drop in a hot zone i drop near loot and start fight, if they are good enough to die in 10s or less i wont go, i got many top 10 solo, also you will understand, safe zone to move, when to attack teams once you are top 10 in order to take champion solo, this week i took champion solo for the first time in ranked leagues, that will help you in higher ranks more than you think it will do, stop bothering about points have fun when you lose and when you win after all you are not getting payed to win top 5

actually it does, ofcourse if you solo with edge players and you are a hybrid player who understand when to move it wont work, i played with zone players and hybrid players which i won a lot of top 5 or even took champion, there was a guy i played with who our playingstyle were the same, it felt like we understood eeach other without words, the two time i played with this guy we took champion easily in a 2vs3 situation both of the times, meanwhile edge players i tend to end up in a top 10 or 15, in hybrids i usually take top 5 too though sometimes i take top 10, i personally prefer hybrids because is fun to do when people know when a fight is enough and is better to move because we are not winning and when they know when to push in order to win rather than wait till the other team heals

Immediately thought the same. I mained fuse for the last 3 seasons with a hybrid playstyle. The biggest advantage of fuse playing zone in midgame is holding opponents on distance. Even if you got another zone team relatively close to you, you can harass the shit out of them constantly for free with knuckleclusters. Free wallhacks with a balloon and ult is also nice in later zones. End zone and ult i don't have to tell you, everybody knows this. Fuse also plays well with peter, he even has a unique animation for it. Paired with a legend like bang or cat for horizontal space control, he is very effective at mid-range vertical space control (if you look on the map top down). There is a reason why raven brought him back.
