@@metal100knah as soon as it misses once it stops Edit: used brain, realised you may be referring to the Draco meteor, which despite not being back to back turns, was back to back 90%s
As a certain Pokétuber always says: “If it’s not 100% accurate, it’s 50% accurate” Seriously tho, that was unfortunate. Rare case in these videos someone actually forfeits, but valid here.
Any doubt I had that Shady and Luke aren't brothers is gone since Luke seems to have a fascination with Thursday evenings while Shady has been consistent on his Thursday afternoons.
I have a fun idea for a challenge. Could y’all please catch eight Pokemon of your choice that all have random abilities. Both of you also get to pick out the move sets after catching the Pokemon. Once you both acquire teams, read off each of your team members’ Pokedex entries. If the one being read to correctly identifies a Pokemon entry, he gets the option to force a trade without knowing the moveset of the identified Pokemon. The player who gets the identity correct is also able to pick out a custom ability for the traded Pokemon. Sabotaging some of your own team members is legal. Let’s say that the two leftover Pokemon with easy Pokédex entries are physical attackers like Machamp. You can rigg the entire moveset to be special or support moves. The Pokemon can’t be pseudo legends, legends, paradox, ultra beast, mythical or, starters to make it a bit more challenging.
It's a video where they catch 8 (I think 10 would be better), and then doing a pokedex reading after all mons are caught and built. If the readers pokemon is guessed based off the dex entry by their opponent, a trade can be initiated if the opponent wishes.
Oh, it's rare indeed that it comes into play. But I distinctly recall another instance from a Then We Fight video. I can't remember who or what, but I think it involved Belly Drum. EDIT: It was "Choose Your Starter Pokemon By Only Knowing Their Type!" by Dylan, UnitedGamer, posted almost exactly one year ago.
With videos where you pick more than 6 starters I'd love to have which ones made the team saved until all are chosen. It would help us team build with you guys and leave some suspense for what you end up bringing. I loved this one though, the mindgames are always so much fun
I always find it a little sad for these “choose more then 6” when some are just discarded, cause it almost feels like losing on a pick not mean much, or losing on some potential fun stuff. Like its been SO SO long since seen a Sandslash and it had any ability.… So how about if you choose like 8-10, and you HAVE to use all of them between 2 battles. Save all the bad ones for second battle? How split up? Who good gotta remove for second battle? Could make it interesting and uses every started.
In this particular instance, I feel like being able to just discard an opponent's pick when you fall for the lie kind of defeated the purpose of that rule a bit. Probably should've added an extra clause where you HAVE to use the 'mon if that happens 😅
22:58 oh my gosh i never expected to hear that again, nostalgia rush from my freshman and sophomore year of highschool, I was obsessed with yugioh back then because I wasn't allowed to watch it till I turned 14
If you get the lie wrong and opponent picks for you, it should be a lock onto your team. Discarding the rubbish ones because you got caught out defeats the purpose of the punishment... Good concept other than that!
Wow, don’t think I’ve ever seen Luke be dominated like this before. Was totally owned in the choose your starters part of the video (usually he has the upper hand against Pat there), and then losing both battles?? Wild
Fun idea, you each catch 6 Pokémon, you put anyone of those Pokémon on a randomized wheel and then you spin it to see who gets who’s Pokémon. Mabey randomized ability or only stab moves, randomized moves etc. to go along with that!
That is the first time I've seen Triple Axel hit once and I think this is the first time I've seen Draco miss in these "then we fight" vids. Poor Lukey was getting cuboned around every corner.
I think a fun idea for a challange would be for each of you to shoose 6 pokemon and both of you build them together and then you randomly decide who get’s each of the 12 pokemon.
Just saw the video with Truegreen7 and wanted to thank you for everything you do for the community. Your videos are how my wife and kids and I unwind after a long day and the laughter you bring to our household is something I cherish. I’m sorry to hear about the rough months bud and I hope it all works out. Keep up the great work
Fun fact. Originally there were to be a choice between 4 starters the only reason it changed was due to the limitation of the time with game mechanics. The concept of 4 was based on the elements, earth/grass, fire, water, air. So pidgey was actually the 4 starter, had game mechanic limitations werent a thing back in the day.
Video suggestion: you do the 4 starters idea but if the person picking a starter does not like any of the 3, they get the randomised 4th Pokémon (which could be anything between a magikarp and a miraidon😂)
Pat shouldn't have blindfolded himself if Luke wasn't. It's basically visual doping, it's easier to lie when you're memorizing everything without looking at them.
Lol, the moment when they brought up the magmar made me chuckle! 😂 It's like they were just throwing in mischief for fun! Also, I can’t believe how seriously they take the starter picks, it’s like a game of poker with Pokémon! 🎲 Gotta love the randomizer twist! Can't wait to see the next video! 🌟
I like this format, but there's no incentive for someone to use a bad pokemon for the lie. The person picking should never choose the bad pokemon, because if they pick it and its a lie thats bad, and if its really there then they are still stuck with a bad pokemon.
Video idea. You can pick between starters with random moves and abilities. You know everything about one starter (including species moves and ability), just the species of the second starter (It's a blastoise) and nothing about the third. Your opponent chooses which pokemon to reveal fully, partially reveal and hide and you pick the best of 8 starters.
Choose your started but its deal or no deal : Look at your own starters, and your opponent, without seeing your starters, can offer you a pokemon to take instead of the ones in front of you
You guys should do a video where you give your Pokémon any ability as long as the logic makes sense. I’d love to see stuff like Neuroforce Mewtwo, Ice scales Baxcalibur, Disguise Palafin (that one would suck but it makes sense), Simple Slowbro, Merciless Overqwil, Intimidate Mr Mime, etc.
Idea for selecting Digital Roots(aka adding all the numbers in a number together until you get a single Digit between 0-9) Spin a wheel to determine what your first(or final) digital Root is. You can catch and use any mon that matches the digital Root, BUT(if the first option is picked), you can only get a single Mon for each Digital Root For example, as Mon 151, Mew's Digital Root would be 7. After catching Mew, any Mons whos Pokedex number has a Digital Root of 7 cannot be caught. Cacnea as an example, is mon 331, and therefore wouldnt be usable/catchable Edited for Typos
Love when you post Luke and looked up to you for such a long time! Sorry that your RNG luck was so bad today but you always make really amazing content! Hope you keep creating more! 😄
Hi Luke, maybe a video idea: Each player picks 6 starters without saying. The opponent chooses 3 good and 3 bad ability's to give randomly to the other person's pokemon then battle
Checked the Wiki Triple Axel Hitting only once actually has a lower chance of happening then just outright missing. Single hit has a 9% chance, while Missing is a 10% chance
Idea for a vid. Flip the coin, heads is the first pokemon, tails is the last pokemon. That decides what you get. If you don’t like your flip you can risk it by taking the unknown middle mon.
I feel like the 4th starter Pokémon‘s are kind of a thing. The super rare Pokémon you can find basically on the second route Gen 1 has Pikachu Gen 2 has Phanpy Gen 3 has Ralts
I was gonna say that it was sad Pat didn't switch to Flutter Mane when Latios was behind the sub since Flutter being a Fairy would have negated the Draco Meteor and Hyper Voice hits through substitute (plus it being Pixilate would probably take the kill), but then the Draco missed anyway. 😂
I got two ideas for challenges for you. 1. Pick your starter, but the base stat totals of Pokémon and their fully evolved version are switched. Dragonite would have a bst of 300 and Dratini would have a bst of 600. I think it would be cool to see you hope for babies while playing around their limited movesets. 2. Pick your starter, but you have to use the weaker attacking stat of the Pokémon you use. If you want Urshifu, you have to run it Special. If you want Flutter Mane you have to run it Physical.
