I kept thinking you were playing the opening notes of The District Sleeps Alone Tonight. I checked... and you were. 😀 Great info and demo as always! You're making me want a Hydrasynth too.
I love your videos. But please consider losing the background synth music. It’s superfluous and distracting. In my opinion. It draws my attention away from the sonic comparisons you are trying to make. But really, great videos. You are talented and knowledgeable, and a good teacher.
Thanks Daniel - I have a question - How do you identify filter features or types in songs? This has been one of the hardest to understand in songs. For example , what kind of filter features did this artist use for the high accented crescendo synths that float over the track? I think its around the 21:30 min mark of your vid - It sounds like the artist used the arpeggiator but can you describe how they are changing the sound? It sounds very unique. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WutV7enWP5Y.html Also can you do a video where you identify filter features in songs and how to mimic them for learning purposes? That would be A1.
Hi Kinkie Pink. The song is called LoveMachine and I created it using only an Arturia MicroFreak. You can hear the rest of it in my MicroFreak video demo: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QhizQOClCAM.html Thanks for watching! -_Daniel_
Hello Daniel. There is another point you didn't discuss : how to recognize and choose between Ladder, Sem and Steiner Parker filters? We get these three types in the Hydrasynth and it's not so easy to choose. Thank you very much.
