Choosing the Chickfila Short Line 

This is the lesson about “private vs public” sector efficiency. There is no comparison when private sector has the bottom line a CEO is focused on and public sector is just a bunch of people being paid with someone else’s money(tax). One has incentives motivating efficiency and the other has reliable steady paychecks regardless of effort or results.

I went to a Chik-Fil-A for the first time ever the other day. The line was HUGE and wrapped around the building and into the next door parking lot. I don't wait for food but I was there to kill time. It was a bad strategy on my part...They had that entire line served and me on my way faster than it takes Wataburger to serve two cars...

@@Lannie85 because we can take 4 orders at a time and take them much faster, it’s super efficient and has elevated CFA to the fastest growing restaurant in the country. We can also serve and love our community better face to face.

Somebody thought it would be great to build a In n Out Burger and a Chick fil A next to each other in a new shopping center! You should see the confuse looks on people’s faces where each line starts for both places when they both opened, they didn’t open at the same time, luckily! But someone who designed the parking lot, was on something when they did! Way too busy and too crowded at the same time, people honking at each other and giving each other dirty looks! We’re a Conservative town (believe it or not, in Central California!.. it’s rare in CA! Lol). 😉

At the one I work at we have no choice. One time we had the employees come inside because of a thunderstorm and the line back up to the highway, no joke.

It's relative. The average wait at my Chick-Fil-A is 5-10 minutes. At the In N Out it's around 45 minutes to well over an hour at times.

My chickfila doesn't even have 2 lines...

@@freeindeedrg3083 Basically the Israelites led by Joseph after they took down Jericho (I believe) and Joseph said to leave the gold it belongs to God. One guy took some, so when they attacked the next corrupt city (overall they took down like 10) and failed because the one guy stole the gold. So then God told them what happened and Joseph liked the one guy and his family (to be fair he was given like several chances to admit guilty though).
