Can you elaborate on reasons one might want to have small and mid caps (rather than only S&P)? Is this an attempt to beat the historic S&P performance? Might it be because you have trepidation about the future of the S&P performing as it has for the last 100 years? Is it because S&P is so “magnificent 7” heavy?
