I installed this optic on a crossman 760 air rifle.I have now shot the riffle around 500 times during target/plinking practice, and the ru-vid.comUgkxc4K63Fd5LglDMObu7-Bgapxp_ef0W8hE scope has done well. With this optic, I have neutralized around 30 pigeons that were invading one of my buildings. For my short range air rifle, I will continue to use this scope, but will be upgrading to a more powerful scope, when I buy a more powerful air rifle, in order to shoot at longer distance. For the money I have spent, this scope has truly been a great buy.

Sure wish Specialty Archery would send some Verifier/Clarifier Display tools to some of the smaller sporting good shops for those of us who live in remote lowly populated areas. Or even make some cheaper Display tools that could be borrowed out to folks like me. The lenses are too expensive to just order a bunch to find out which works, so I've had to shoot in the dark when ordering. I'm using a 1/4" #7 verifier, but just had to order a 1/8". I'm using #7, but don't even know it's best for me.

You are right; the inability to know which clarifier is right is an instant brake pedal for anyone searching for a better peep. They should offer the tool if you pay return shipping.

I am in the exact same boat right now while I'm ordering parts to set up my Vertix. I shoot a 4x lens and would like a clarifier lens for my peep, but unless I order the whole set how do I know which one is going to suit me best? I know they have a chart, but seeing is believing in my experience.

@@travistessman3075 Check it out in a bow shop. There are so many variables.

My local bow shop only has a few clarifiers in stock, but I need a verifier and they don’t even have those tools that you have to check which ones you need. I’ve spent several hundred dollars so far “guessing” on your peep sight / verifier combinations. It’s getting “old” and costly.

I am new to archery. What if any negatives exist using a larger diameter optic? He mentioned multiple times that they were better suited for “3D”. Why wouldn’t that also work for 2D?

charles hetrick A larger scope is good for 3D because it lets more light in. Comes in handy when targets are in the shadows. But Smaller scopes are generally preferred for paper targets, combined with a smaller peep/aperture as this is (at least for me) a slightly easier setup to shoot consistently. It’s a smaller and more precise sight picture.

ArcheryTalk thanks, I recently picked up a TRG7 and a CBE optics mount so am looking for completing equipment. I am generally more interested in metallic cartridge type rifles and even some flint lock work but my local sporting goods retailer had a TRG7 on display and it was just too sexy to pass up.

give me a lense with 4 free floating pins with 1x or 0x zoom and I will switch to them because the open sight window is priceless.

Wich for hunting? Low light, for bow light?

I don't use any lens for hunting personally, but if you wanted to, I'd suggest getting the the Super D or the Versa 3D and pair it with a 2x lens.
