Love that pic of the Lake Winnipeg Greenback. Those fish hit hard and fast a good rod is key, but also proper technique to set the hook. I caught a 26" walleye this ice season and also lost a few. Once you "feel" them on your line the trick is to reel down, load the rod slightly and set the hook.
I ordered the "Precision" being as I love fishing for walleye but in my area it's more panfish lakes and this rod will do both very nicely! Can't wait for this winter to get on the ice!
Just depends on what you want to spend and how much you want to bring with. I caught a fat, 28-inch pike last winter in MN on a typical noodle panfish rod. 6 lb. test and a 16th oz jig. Took about 12 minutes to bring it in but it worked perfectly.
I was wondering what reel you are pairing up with the precision, power precision, and the Vulcan. Thanks in advance. I ordered both precisions and thinking abou5 the Vulcan also
