I am a 50 years old beginner with motorcycles. I would like a bike for everyday rides in town, my job an also to go on small touring and I think the Vstrom 650 can be the one. I could’ve bought a v-strom 650 in 2005, then added a dual Sport and been happy for decades…. Instead, I tried, bought, sold every bike under the sun. You’ll always evolve and change your tastes as a rider. Pick what speaks to you… and consider comfort!
That was some great advice mate. I have watched a couple of your videos today, and I like your no BS no FIGJAM style, unlike so many other RU-vid channels. You have got a new subcriber today. I'm 55 yo and I've had bikes on and off since I was a kid. I've just added it up and I've had 13 bikes in total. Mostly enduro bikes. I raced enduro type events back in the late 90s and mid 2000s. the last bike I had was a road bike back in 2009, it was a Kawazaki ZX-12R, that thing was a rocketship!! Since then I have done a lot of overseas travel. I married a lovely Thai woman 10 years ago and Later this year I am retiring in Thailand and I'm looking to buy a bike to travel around Thailand on and to commute on. And somthing that isn't going to turn it's nose up at the odd dirt road. I have been trying to decide between a Versys 650, a CD 500X, or a Vstrom 650. My mind is made up on the Vstrom 650. From all the reviews I have seen the Vstrom will suit my needs the best.
